OK, so I'm in a tough situation. I paid for my first year of college with all the savings me and my mother had. But now, second year is coming around and even though we are getting 24,000$ in Financial Aid, we need another 21,000$ for the rest of tuition.

So its about 10,000$ a semester. Now heres the pickel. My mother can't cosign (bad credit), and I have no other family or relatives in this country (I am from Russia and most of my family still lives there).

I applied for SallieMae with my mother as a cosigner and I got denied. I'm not sure if I would be good enough for an independant loan, what are my other options?

I recieved my credit score today and got a 699 (so basically, 700). I'm hoping thats not terrible?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Most places are going to want 2 years of work history. I'm not sure what you can do to get around that.
