Hi,
Sallie Mae has finally decided to discharge my loan and they also stated they will delete all the past late remarks on the tradeline. One thing I need to know though.. will the account be marked as "DISCHARGED" or just "CLOSED"?
Please help!!!!!

Hey Landshark!!
SL reports as Closed/Paid $0 balance - however they've forgotten to remove the lates so I wrote them about it like two weeks ago, I think they'll update it, but you never know. I'll check back then.
Did you have any lates on yours? If so, let me know if they remove yours please? THANKS!!
GL!

Okay,
Yesterday after I hit "add reply" I got a call from a nice gentleman at Sallie Mae, he was calling in regards to my letter. He told me that minutes before he called me he had sent an update to the bureaus stating that I was never late. This morning, I Logged on to experian's back door and bingo! PAID/CLOSED/NEVER LATE! - what a beautifull sight.
Best of luck to you all

that is great to know. No I do have any lates. I was able to use deferments and forbances while I have been disabiled and now while I am going through the process. They take forever though.

Was this a private Student Loan?
There is no such thing as a disability discharge for a private loan.
