Hi
Have a few questions re: above TLs... First these are from schooling in 1992-94.. Worked after graduation and was permanently disabled as of 5/96.. Applied for and received forgiveness of loans shortly after..
Questions... These TLs are currently on CR Can they be removed? Obsolete?
Since they have been forgiven can they ever be reinstated? I would like to possibly take an online course Will that effect anything?
Thanks for all your help...

Would really appreciate an opinion/input from one of the mods.
Thanks

You can try; I don't think they're hurting you though. The only way to find out is to dispute them.

The clue to my thinking they're not hurting you is that if they were considered a negative TL, they should have dropped off in 2004. If you do manage to get them off your CR, you may experience a score drop due to loss of age.

Thank you for responding. So you think I should leave them then? I just don't like the referrence to bankruptcy which is totally false.... and the fact it says paid by insurance on one

What it actually says is "unrated or bankruptcy" ... it doesn't say it was IIB. These TLs probably don't figure prominently into your FICO scores. Like I said, you can give it a try; what the outcome will be is anybody's guess, really.

Once again thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. I guess its a catch 22 as to whether or not to try to have them removed. I just didnt like that info being on the CR. I also wasnt clear on whether or not they were hurting me. Your answers have cleared that up. Again thanks...
