Hello there.

I was recently approved for a $10,000 Sallie Mae loan for school.
Come to find out it was Unsubsidized and that now I actually need more.
But I used a cosigner in my grandpa.

How do I go back and change the amount. It was already approved but is now waiting for my school to accept it or whatnot, etc.

Can my school not accept the loan and I wont get anything, and how do I change the amount?

Sounds like a private loan, not an unsub stafford.

Talk to your FA department. You do not have to accept the entire balance amount offered.

Yea its a Private Loan. Unsubsidized it says. I didnt wanna make any interest payments during school for it though.

Also, I need more money, not less. I need another $2,000.

Talk to your FA officer.
