Full Version: Consolidators: are their rules / Prom Notes all the same?
CreditBoards > Financing > Student Loans

When asked a cons. about their deferment and forbearance rules and other details: One cons. said all of them use the same Note( outside of/not the incentives) because they all have to follow the Fed Gov specific rules to get it approved. Other cons. said do not believe anything others competitive cons. say because they say anything.
Is your experience or info that they all use the same Note(outside of incentives), or an applicant needs to study each one separately and compare them to others?

Consolidation is a federal program. It is set by federal rules. So outside any rate reductions, they terms are identical and the prom notes standard.
