Full Version: Consolidation and deferment
Just have one quick question. DH and I want to consolidate our student loans before rates go up on 7/1/06. We are both going to be elgible for graduate fellowship deferments... so if we consolidate, will we still be able to have deferment or can you only defer loans that are not consolidated? Thanks.

Yes you can do an educational deferment. All of this information is listed on most lenders website and of course the DOE site.
