Okay, in the process of sending HIPPA letter to OC.
I currently live in CA but the collection activitity is from FL, in the HIPPA letter do I use the consumer credit statues that applies to CA or FL?
Also a line in the HIPPA letter reads:
This payment in full is for services as per the attached fee schedule from XXXX XXXX)
Not clear on the fee schedule, can someone provide insight? BTW, I'm going to remit full payment for the bill.

Have you disputed the debt with the medical dispute letter yet.
Send the medical dispute letter to the CRA and add to it that as a California resident the reporting of this private medical information on your credit reports is a violation of the California privacy statutes. Florida residents also cannot have medical info on CR as well.
You may also want to read this thread regarding others who thave dealt with medica being on their report from California.
