Not sure if this is the right board but here goes. My wife just recently transfered schools and was approved for 100% tuition assistance. She started two on-line classes but has not completed them due to our recent move. She contacted the school prior to the move to let them know that she will complete the classes when we get settled and they agreed and said that since it was a military move there would be no penalty. Now we find out that the school charged her debit card for the two classes totalling $1755. She has called several times with no response concerning the charge.
She has never authorized that the card be charged when enrolling in this school. When she recieved the enrollment forms there was a block that asked for a credit card and a block for initials asking if this card can be used for charges. SHE NEVER SIGNED THAT BLOCK agreeing to the card being charged. How can you be charged a class when you have a 100% tuition assistance? Also, how can you be charged for classes that has not been completed and the school said it can be made up when we get settled? What should we do? Should we send a letter? Help please. Thanks.
