Full Version: Defaulted SL not reporting on CRs

Is this unusual, that my SLs do not appear on oany of my CRs at all?

I recently emerged from BK. I've looked at the usual sites and notice that my SLs (total principal of about $9g) have no CA attached, just the original guarantor. Also, after three years of IRS offsets, none this year (probably because of the BK filing.) I am curious whether I am on the radar, or whether I have fallen off -- I'm playing a dangerous game because I don't want to be garnished, but also don't want to begin paying (i.e. rehab) prematurely, since I'm in a cash crunch.

Your best bet is to contact whoever holds your loans and find out what's happened to them. If the DOLA was seven years ago, that's why they aren't on the CRAs. But mark my word, when the guarnator finds out you're not in BK now, they will start proceedings to garnish, whether the loans show up on your CR or not.

Good luck.
