You'll probably get a better response in the credit forum.

However, people usually go after Student cards to establish credit. It looks like you're already there. I believe Citi has a student card that offers discounts/cash back on school purchases. The CLs are usually small though ($300-1000 at most).

I have a student card through Citi that gets 5 points for every dollar spent at bookstores. In 1 year I've gotten like 15,000 points and I don't make a lot of money. The bookstore points have added up quickly especially since it's something I have to buy anyway. I did get the card to establish credit though and my initial limit was $800 but that may have been greatly affected by my income.

I have $7500 with Citi spread across 3 cards, soon to be 2. All student cards.

Citi mtvU card is probably your best bet, the rest of the student cards have "regular" versions and otherwise aren't unique except for higher APRs and lower CLs.

The mtvU card gives you points for GPA every semester (up to 2000,) 5 pts/$1 at restaurants, bookstores, record stores, video rental places, and movie theaters, and 1 pt/$1 everywhere else. It also gives you 25 pts per month for paying at least the minimum on time.

When I was 18 and not yet in college I got a $5000 Discover with a $5000 income, a Citi, ATT, Exxon Visa, and all these other cards with over $1000 limits and an AMEX. It seemed to me the benefit of the "student" label was they gave cards and limits I would not otherwise qualify for.
