Has anyone set up a 529 college savings plan for themself? From what I can find, it looks like this is legal to do.
I'm mainly looking for tax-advantaged ways to save money. I'm SURE I'll be taking more college courses, whether to finish up my master's, or as continuing education. There are many courses I want to take.
Is continuing education tuition a qualifying withdrawl from these plans, or do you have to be accepted in a degree program? Does for-credit vs non-credit courses make a difference (assuming either is taken from an accredited university)?
Are there any gotchas to look out for?
Anyone know? Anyone done it?
Thanks!
