OK, maybe this is, maybe this isn't the right forum...whatever tongue.gif

Anyhow, wife and I want to buy a relatively inexpensive RV / newer pop-up camper in the $7000-8000 range.

We're finding, or course, plenty of places that finance such a creature, but nobody that will finance one from a private party. The private party stock is relatively abundant, and the pricing is better than from the local RV center on a gently used 2001+ model.

Anybody know of anybody who would finance this as an RV loan rather than a personal loan? Some I've seen will do private party sales, but a minimum of $10K. We're not spending that much.

State Farm will do it...call a local agent, Good Luck

State Farm does RV loans? Wow....I'll look into it, thanks.

yeah State Farm has a full service bank, mortgages, auto loans, just about everything..rates are very competitive also, you can apply over the phone with an agent or staff, normally within an hour you'll know the answer, and can close the loan at the agents office.

Jon: your state require titles on RV's?

Probably best bet vs a sig loan would be to go to your CU.

they can they collateralize the title. There are sepecialty publications that establish value used to determine a LTV.
