Hello there,
I have tried to contact the adminstrators but found every avenue blocked....
I wondered if I might tell all your members about a new piece of Software available for adding images directly into your MSN messages as you type them. Simply drag and drop from SmileyPad into the message and it appears instantly.
Being a full time working Mum I cannot afford corporate advertising, especially for a free product.
No messing around adding the images to your MSN internal library and you can add any image you want to your SmileyPad simply by drag and drop from the internet too.
The best thing about SmileyPad is that it is FREE! I was fed up with the lack of free software that did not have spyware, adware, malware so I wrote my own - it is completely free of any 'wares' and does just what it says on the tin.
You can find it at
http://www.smileypad.com

Hi SoulGirl - you can post about smilypad - just say I told you so and link back here. A lot of us were using emotipad - I think they'll love using smileypad.
The external link to admin email is at the bottom of most pages, but this is fine - everyone can see that you have permission. BTW, I manually added a smilie and it was super easy! Nice work!!

I have seen others as Members who signed up after me. How do I become a member? What does "subscribing" mean? I look all over for some things and just can't seem to find answer for some things. I hate to post same ol' /same ol'. I also have an idea about a great new line in BK forum, but want to know if okay to start a new posting that is kinda long.

This is a question, and I was not sure where to post it. But for oustanding debts that you know you owe, but that are charged off, should you begin with DV or by calling the creditor to negotiate a settlement?
Aslo, is you are still within the Statute of Limitations for being sued on the debt, is it a good idea to wait unit that runs before you begin with DV and all so that you don't get sued on the debt?

You can't have both your fico tracker & your signature in your umm signature. Its one or the other.

Hello everyone:
I'm glad I was referred to this forum. I self-recovered from BK seven years ago, but recently ran into a speed-bump of sorts. I want to consolidate all my debt, cut up my cards, and work on becoming debt free. This site is amazing and I know it will help me reach my goals.

I've been a member for about two months now, but I have only posted twice so far, (this being my second)....I have found that I discover the answer to my questions right away, negating the need to post my inquiry!
Pretty cool, but I do feel like an outsider of sorts since I don't seem to need to post! Hmm, a bit of a quandry I have, no?

Hi there.
I just found these boards today and already I feel I am farther ahead just by reading them. My backstory is this.. I will keep it short and sweet. I was real stupid - Ex boyfriend/fiance took me for 50k and trashed my credit in the process. After a few years of being very angry at myself for being stupid I finally caught the lightbulb that said I was only punishing myself by ignoring the past debt. HE certainly isnt having any problems since the new wife has deeper pockets than mine.
I spoke to a morgage lender and he said I need to up my scores by 60 points to qualify for a house - which again pissed me off since I used to have a nice 760 - but oh well moving into the here and now, I was advised that I needed the collection agencies to send me a letter removing negative commentary off my reports as I got them paid off.
So far, Sallie Mae has refused to remove any negative comments (which I gather by reading here is their normal position)
I have gotten ONE thing removed completely
Today I was absolutely discouraged when I talked to the guy from AvanteUSA who not only was a jerk but said he was the boss and there was nothing I could do and no one I can talk to other than him( which I find hard to believe because why is the boss answering the call center phone?). That they wouldn't remove it from my CR and would only mark it off as a paid settlement, which I am pretty sure is just as bad as the collection sitting there.
My first goal (in the next 9 months) is to life my scores that 60 points so I can get a house and move across country, then I will work on cleaning the rest of it up.
So far today I have Opted out of the credit agencies sharing my info and sent off a check for a National City secure credit card. Both of which I hope will help
My scores right now are:
XPN 609
EFX 582
TUC 551
In any case I thought I would introduce myself, say hello and mention finding this board is the best thing to come out of my day.. So thanks

Hi everybody
I am so happy

to have found this site, I am obsessed with it. I hope it will help me coz I am ready to make a change in my life by having good credit scores.
I have started out by mailing out goodwill letters to some of the Banks for late payments , and I have also send out dispute letters to dispute my personal information. My question is, I called experian today to dispute my address information, I asked them to update my address to the current one,and they refused to delete my old address, now should I just go ahead and start mailing out my validation letter to one of the collection agency that is after 30 days or should I keep pressing on for the old address to be deleted? Trans union agreed to delete the old addresses
thanks everybody

Hello everyone. Been reading on this post for a while now and joined a few weeks ago. Thanks for all the great info and help posted here. Gained a few new cl's as well including Hooters $1000, Chevron $300, Crown Jewelers $1500. Previously I only had a crappy First Premier $200 and a crappy Continental Finance $250 card. Also have had $500 Orchard for a while and been treated well with cli every 6 months. Its up to $1250 now.

New to board. I have been looking at this website for a few days. After reading a lot of the posts I decided to act and try to clean up my credit report and at the same time raise my FICO score. I have sent a letter to Equifax describing 20 items that need to be removed. Don't know if this will raise my score but am hoping. This website is great.

Hi Everyone. I am new to CreditBoards. I am in a rut and desperately need to repair my credit. My score was a 580...it is now a 450. My life seems to being going downhill instead of up. My credit cucking so bad is greatly limiting my potential to succeed in life and by this time next year I want my credit score to be at least 600...hopefully with creditboards help I can reach that goal. If you have any tips please do let me know!!!

Yes, this site is quite a bit larger than the other site we used to go to.
If you want to stick to the Bankruptcy forum for awhile, it's easy to find. Just go back up to the top of this page and click in the credit boards logo. You'll see a list of different forums, scroll down the page till you see the bankruptcy forum and click on it. The first group of threads are "pinned" at the top for quick reference (like stickies on the other site). Just keep scrolling down till you see the current threads, and start posting! The bankruptcy forum is all together, it's not sorted out like the other site, but I think you'll like it here - no POWER MONGER moderators! giggle
Again, welcome - hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone.. I think you have a great site here!!! This is my first post and I need some help. I went to myfico.com to order credit reports and scores 47.95... The order would not go through and customer service claims three CRA'S will not release information. Nobody seems to know why. I pulled free reports and scores a month ago through freecreditreport.com... apparently this is the source of problem.
All of this does not make sense because I am paying for it this time around???? What's the deal?

subject: need advice
Myfico.com claims they are unable to procure credit reports and scores after failed attempt to order. They claim CRA'S will not release information, noboby seems to know why after speaking to several CSR'S. I ordered free reports a month ago from freecreditreports.com at the time was unaware of fako scores until visiting this site.
Can anyone tell me how I can get CRA'S to release reports and true fico scores?

Need advice.
After 2.5 years of reading, planning, checking it out -- PROCRASTINATION CITY!! -- I"m still a newbie.
But I'm starting now.
Anyway, I waited...until three judgments reared their ugly heads. Went to court and got them vacated but with stipulations of settlements with the three creditors.
Are their any pitfalls I'm not aware of in just sending the CRA's copies of said stipulations highlighting the fact that the judgments are vacated and need to be removed from the CRs? I can only imagine.
Also there's another one from 2002 from my landlord, paid immediately which was actually a technical "judgment for possession" and should never have been filed as a money judgment.
Will just a letter from the landlord be sufficient for the CRAs to remove it? Do they even have to remove it?
Thanks so much for this wonderful resource!
VENCEREMOS!!!
