Full Version: Letter from TG

I got a letter from them last night, and among the other things I had to deal with, I managed to get majorly confused about it.

They said that as of Feb 10, they were going to charge 25%. 25% of what? The total debt? And how is that calculated? 25% daily, weekly, hourly (and at this rate I'm not being funny, I'm furious with them.)? The amount owed as of that day? Is that why my employer's checks are mysteriously disappearing, including the second set they sent when the first set went missing?

And if that's the case, I want to know what my rights are to appeal that amount.

My employer has a copy of the checks (two in total) that they sent but TG never recieved. In addition, they sent a second check for the original two plus the amount taken from my third check. And still TG hasn't recieved it. And TG won't talk to me any more. I have three pay stubs that show the garnished amount that should have been taken (and my employer sent it...I work for a major bank that happens to be the one I defaulted on for my SL).

Before anyone says I'm angry for no reason, I've been garnished once, and it stopped and for another two years I was with that employer, so I assumed it was taken care of.

I'm tired of this, and I want to know who and where I can get something done and I am tired of the never ending fees. I tried to give them a cc for the amount and I would have just dumped the amount back in, but either I've been lied to and TG is in the dark ages ,or they are playing judge, jury and executioner to say that CCs are bad.

I admit I should have paid the loans and I'd fall on a sword if I thought it would help, but enough is enough.

I'm presuming the letter you got to be the one on the green paper that was sent to everyone in their database...that annual notice goes out to everyone, it wasn't targeted just at you.

On the other issues, call and speak with their ombudsman...she has handled a number of situations for people around here. I'm not sure if Lu's direct line has been posted on this board before or not, but she has always been prompt at returning voice mail on the occasions where she was out of the office.

She cuts through red tape quicker than just about anyone I have ever seen...
