THank you for any help as this information would help me out greatly.

Were you out of school for any period of time or did you change schools?? Did you defer your loans properly. You will have to prove to them that you had concurrent enrollment and that you should have been defered. Call them.

THank you for the advice I will call them, I was in school (different) or in deferment BUT since the lates no longer show on my Reports I am unsure EXACTLY the dates that they are reporting late, I pulled this info form Myfico, when I go to True Credit they dont show the accounts as past due. SO I am not sure what I should do now it may be time to just get the paper copies and see what is what. THank you agian for the help.

Got one more on an somewhat related mater....I had a "private" loan given to me by the school I went to these were "good grade" loans and not Government. They had the money to pay it in my account BUT since I was unaware of this amount owed (they told me I was free and clear). I now owe just over 6K from an original 3K Balance. I looked up SOl for my state but got condused on what number I should take as SOL for this "Baddie" They have marked it as collections since day 1 since I never made a payment on it it was opened in 97 THEN they say started Delinq 2001. THey said it is in "internal" collections now Just wondering how I should handle this/I cant pay it now and have received latters from thier retained "lawfirm" that handles collections. Should I just let this Drop off (about 1 year probably) or do something else like go into repayment IF the remove all bad info from CR. they only report to 1 right now BUT it is KILLING my score as it is a Major baddie (I beleive). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW I should mention that the loans were through the school itself not through an outside lender I am thinking that will make a difference. THANK YOU for any help or guidance you can give me I am trying to correct my young and stupid days

If the school is public or non profit, their is no SOL on these types of loans. The University I worked at would regularly file suit on these types of loans right before the reporting statutue would run out. There also will be a freeze on your transcripts.
