HI! I called a CA that has an old medical bill from 2003. I included this bill in my ch7 in 2003. They were notified and I just called the other day because it is stating on my CR that it is an "open" account. It doesn't state anywhere on the TL that it was included in BK.

So anyway I call the CA the other day to advise them that this account was included in my BK just thinking that maybe in a perfect world that it would be that easy. Well as everyone here knows CA are not usually that easy. So the lady on the phone agreed that it was included in bankruptcy but when I asked her to report it correctly she said to dispute it with the CRAs. Man wish I would have found AOC earlier!!

I would love to have something to nail these guys with because I have two other 55.00 accounts with them that they say I owe and are wrecking my credit with.

Does anyone have a suggestion. I sent a letter long before I found AOC for a PFD but they refused (not a big suprise). They are a local CA for our hospital.

Thanks in advance!

Send the CRA's the "medical dispute letter".

You will find it linked (in top paragraph) of the HIPAA letter on my website.

THIS forum, is more about effective methods of cleaning your credit reports and obtaining a better credit rating and new credit than "suing for violations".

Oops sorry I posted it here because really I don't want to sue I just want them to STOP reporting the darn thing. I was looking for maybe a way to talk them out of reporting.

Thanks for your help anyway. I appriciate it! I'll head back to the other forum blush2.gif blush.gif

OP, if the account was IIB then just dispute it as "not mine" because your account was discharged and therefore that account with a balance can not be yours. If the CA verifies the account as it reports, then you nail them for false reporting and trying to collect on a debt IIB.
