HI! I just sent a goodwill letter to AES about a few lates on my credit report. They signed for it on November 21, 2005 (I think that was the date). I have not heard anything back. I am thinking that my letter possibly got into the hands of a person who was having a bad day. So I would like to send another.
Does anyone have a person to send a "goodwill" letter to at AES? Has anyone had luck lately with them? I have read through old post and noticed some do and some don't have luck.
Thanks in advance!

Give it the full 30 days, THEN worry about your next step.

Thank you for your response. This credit repair is a big pond and I feel like such a little fish
I will gladly take your advice and wait to see what happens. I guess since I got a response from all of the others I sent letters to that AES might blowing off my request. Now that I think about it I guess it hasn't been that long. They are just bashing my report so I guess I am just a little too jumpy.
Have you had any dealings with AES?
Thanks again!

No. But you can't send a letter and expect things to happen right away, particularly when you're basically asking for good will. Learn patience, you're going to need it.

I have a little insight into AES and can give you some information. First, AES scans each letter into some type of imaging system so that everyone can see the information. They scan via fax and letters they receive. This process is literally backed up for MONTHS. I sent something in January, and almost three months later, they still didn't get the letter.
I had some incorrect lates on my account because I did AmeriCorps VISTA for two years and during that time my loan was supposed to be in foreberance, but they did not correct it.
I have (and working with them) to correct all the 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 days late on my account. They are a doozy to work with. Good luck!
Have you seen the commercial for "ask" .com, a bunch of monkey using computers? That is AES. Good luck, I have been dealing with them more than a year to correct their mistakes on my reports. No luck so far.
Now I can see double AES entries in my credit reports: one with my SS# and one with new number they just assigned. They don't delete the old ones. I guess, you need a max IQ of 60 to work there; I am tired of them, idiots. Keep this in mind when dealing with them and do what you would do to deal with a stupid person. Good luck.

Sorry for the long wait on my reply.
I called them over and over again about the duplicates and lates noted on my account. Well they took care of the duplicates after about two months, but the late remarks stay. They are horrible to deal with and won't budge even a little. Good luck with them maybe you can get better results.
