Ok I am new and I read the newbies post, I could not find anything on what a pay for delete is? I am not trying to cheat or try anything illegal, I would love to fix my score though. blink.gif

I went through some hard times about two years ago, I now have a great job. I have paid off about 17K of back bills and debts. I have only two accounts that I am paying on. One was an HSBC Mastercard, the other is a balance on a vehicle repo. I have a truck payment and student loans.

Here's the thing, I pay almost 1K a month toward my debts, soon I will start to payoff my truck ahead of schedule and then the student loans. My current scores are: Exp. 544 Equ. 549 TrU. 549 blush2.gif

I know that my scores should be better than that, what negatives can I remove or least how does the CRA decide to review the score? dntknw.gif

Sorry so long

You will get more responses by asking your question in the main credit forum.

Moving there for you.

a pay for delete is basically an agreement between you and the collection agency or creditor that you will pay a certain amount, and in return... they will delete the entire entry on your credit reports.... BECAUSE a paid charge off is the same as an UNPAID charge off as far as your score goes... so basically, dont pay for something you will get no benefit from.. does that help any... and always make sure its in writing.. always.
