As some of you may recall a while back i explained I Had a judgement entered and I was trying to clear it up and get it off my credit report since i paid it off. I have reached the point of being able to get a copy of the judgement satisfaction to submit to the reporting agencies. Please help what type ofletter do they need, I am pleading to get it off not just shown as "satisfied"???? Any and all help will be appreciated. DO i write a letter telling them to please remove it, or do I ask them to.. etc.. thanks!

I recently went through a very similar experience with a court ordered state tax lien that I was totally unaware of until I applied for a car and the salesman pointed out that I had a tax lien, thus making it impossible to obtain the loan. That was February 2005. The lien dated back to 1994 when I suffered Cancer surgery, chemo and radiation therapy in March and I did my taxes in the middle of getting nuked! At least it glowed. Needless to say, my usual focus was not exactly available to me. Therefore, I may have made an error. Notwithstanding the probability of my man made error, I have yet to see any accounting for the principal debt nor of any interest, court costes, or anything but the balance they reported me owing. This balance was almost one grand and I paid paid the balance by April 13, 2005. Kept waaiting for an undate until I was insensed. I wrote the dept of revenue and got an affirmative statement that I had a zero balance. What is more, they sent me a copy of the release of the lien as signed and certified in the Superior Court of Miscommunication. I fired off two dispute letters to two CRAs. I included in my dispute letter that the debt was paid by my bank per check number 1234,copies of 5 emails where I engaged three revenue agents in an uproductive discussions about the status and amount of my lien.
I then sent a basic type of DV letter to the Dept of Revenue where I politely asked them to justify the balance, show me how they guarded my protections under due process and whether or not there was ever a third party involved in any collection effort? An inquiry on one of my Credit Reports supports that there was.
After a dispute and a request for further dispute and this is where you ask them how exactly they verified or validated the debt with Experian, the debt was verified and so documented on my CR, not a good thing.
Conversely, updated the TL under Public info as paid and released, albeit 4 months later than it was actually paid in full by.
Thus while I encourage you to dispute the devils and ask for another reinvestigatation of the debt after they deny it and verify the debt, it is a good paper trial to support later recovery of fines and, perhaps, a delete.
My last effort, thus far, was to write the Commissioner for the Dept of Revenue for my state and I outlined what happened from the beginning. I then went on to describe that their office had knowledge of this but failed to act. I fell just short of pointing out that he may be demonstrating sufficeinet evidence for willful disregard for my rights, but I intentionally tried to make it reasonable and soft. My goal was not to piss the guy off, but firmly attempt to enlist his help, therefore I didn't want to offend him.
Below is a good Dispute Template. Don't know where I found it, but if it was written by anyone reading the post, I apologize for not giving you rcredit, but I do not know who you are. Thanks for "listening"

Dear Credit Bureau,
This letter is a formal complaint that you are reporting inaccurate credit information.
I am very distressed that you have included the below information in my credit profile due to its damaging effects on my good credit standing. As you are no doubt aware, credit-reporting laws ensure that bureaus report only accurate credit information. No doubt the inclusion of this inaccurate information is a mistake on either your or the reporting creditor's part. Because of the mistakes on my credit report, I have been wrongfully denied credit recently for a <insert credit type for which you were denied here>, which was highly embarrassing and has negatively, impacted my lifestyle.
Optional With the proof I'm attaching to this letter, I'm sure you'll agree it needs to be removed ASAP.
The following information therefore needs to be verified and deleted from the report as soon as possible:

Please delete the above information as quickly as possible.
Sincerely,
