I have a 648 Equifax score, make $4300 a month, have no debt, besides a $44 student loan, and was just denied trying to refinance my 2005 truck because i dont have 12 months of previous, provable auto loan payment history. Trying to refinance for $34,000 and basically just wanting the truck in my name. When we bought it my wife was the borrower, i was the co-signer. Ive made 4 payments so far all on time, via direct debit monthly thru GMAC. Is there any lenders out there that will help me? My credit union said everything else was fine, just that the no 12 months provable prior is what nixxed me.

Your trying to refinance that far too soon. If the dealership was unable to get you approved 4 months ago without a co-signer than your not gona be able to refinance it without a co-signer. You need to wait till the tradeline ages to a year.

If you both are on the loan document, you should both be on the title.

and

the loan should be reporting on both files.

IMO far too early to refi.

Unless just a pride thing. dntknw.gif
