Hi, have been trying to transfer schools for awhile and and have finally gotten transfered but I will not start attending school until January. My grace peroid on my Federal Stratford loan is up and I have recieved a bill from them. I know for a fact that I am eligable for an Economic Hardship Deferment but I have no idea where I get the form to file for an Economic Hardship Deferment. Does Anybody know? I have searched the FAFSA website and the Direct Loans website and did not see anything that looked like one.

Any help will be appreciated.

You need to call your lender and ask for the forms. They will be happy to assist you, I'm sure.

Good luck!

You can also check your lenders website...they usually have the forms on there too!

I had already checked Direct Loans website but did't find the forms but upon going back to the website I found them. As the saying goes, it it were a snake, it would have bitten me. It was almost to obviouse, a section entitled "forms" rolleyes.gif Guess I am just not use to stuff being that straight forward. Thanks.
