Is it a secure place to borrow loans? Any trouble with anything at all? I mean...Sallie Mae keeps denying my mom for a loan. Nelnet accepted her but with a 9.5% interest rate, but I guess something is better than nothing.
I just wanted to make sure everything was ok first. Has anyone borrowed from Nelnet before? Reviews?

They were on the lender list at one of the schools I worked at. One of ten, but still on the list. Don't remember anyone having any more problems with them than with other lenders. You could do a more detailed search here to see if anyone else has had problems with them.

I have never worked with them, but Nelnet is a pretty big SL lender. 9.5% seems high to me, but I have never had a private loan so am unsure if that is the norm. Have you tried anyone else?
CItibank, Wachovia, and BofA are all pretty big lenders you could try.
