I had two Sallie Mae loans which I consolidated into a SMART loan while still in deferment. each account is showing up as a duplicate on EX, so it looks like I had 4 accounts. this is how it is reporting (truecredit):

each loan is only reporting once on EQ and TU. the reported dates for these are 08/01/2002 and 07/2002 so the entries with reported dates 05/18/2002 are the duplicates. i have faxed a copy of my trimerge asking them to update and remove duplicates and they mailed me a form letter stating that "they have no authority to remove accurate accounts." i faxed them again telling them they didn't read my dispute, that i wanted them to remove the DUPLICATES and they mailed me a form letter stating "after accounts are transferred those accounts remain on your report."

i'm getting REALLY frustrated. i want my reports completely accurate and it seems to me this should be a simple issue to solve. i'm getting ready to go green card on them b/c they are ignoring my disputes. i know i should complain to bbb and ag, anybody else? how about the dept of ed? i know this seems like a silly thing to sue over but i've just about had enough of them. they've verified these duplicates more than once and i've been disputing them for 3 years now. can someone give me specific FCRA violations for this? any other suggestions to get them to pay attention to my disputes other than suing? any help is appreciated..
