This forum should be titled "Credit Card Policies" as Visa/MC aren't the only companies...

We have Discover and American Express... then some banks have policies.

Complaints, discussions and rants regarding perceived merchant violations of CCC policy

I have a slight little problem with one word...

Then you have payment processors like Paypal who do not allow surcharges, yet people on eBay ( which also prohibits surcharges) and other places put stuff in their auctions like "if you are paying with Paypal add 3% to pay for THEIR surcharge"

I do a lot of buying online so my current vendetta is not againsy Brick n mortar places but people online attempting to do the same thing, which is also a violation.

So my point is Yes you are right. These policies extend far beyond just Visa and MC and even beyond direct credit card payments entirely.

you can report the ebayers for violating the policy as well. even if they give cash discounts.. I got one person cancelled for violating ebay and paypal policy for this one.
