I got this letter from Bank of America today. It said... Thank you for your recent application for a Power Rewards account. We regret we are unable to approve your request at this time. Your application was processed using a credit scoring system. The principal reason(s) for our decision are: Bankruptcy...... Thank you for your interest in our credit card program. If you have additional information which could lead to reconsideration of your request, please contact our office. My wife and I filed for BK7 and discharged in Oct 2004. How can we convince them to obtain it? We have checking account with BofA. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hopefully a mod will come along and move this to the more appropriate forum...

I'm not sure what you mean by convincing BofA to obtain your discharge. BofA is notorious for not being real BK-friendly. The fact that you have a checking account with them will likely not be a factor in the equation.

I meant Bank of America Platinum Credit Card (Power Rewards) We need it in order to have our checking account Overdraft Protection. We want to add cash reserve on checking account. BofA denied me.
