I have loans serviced by Sallie Mae and Nelnet.

can subsized and unsubsidized, including one SLS loan be consolidated into one loan? I am in school at present (second career)

do I lose out on any benefits if I consolidate subsidized?

I read somewhere that if you are in school you need to consolidate with federal direct? Is that true? I am so tired and have read so much that I am getting confused!


Another question: who would be better to consolidate with Sallie Mae or Nelnet or could I use someone else.
