I filled out the app online over the weekend, and now have to wait to recieve it in the mail, sign and return. They said it needs to be postamrked by Friday to lock in the low rate. How long is it taking to get this stuff in the mail?

I am glad I did all mine online. It sounds like it might be cutting it too close. You should probably call and ask them.

You were able to go completely online? Who did you go through? This is through loanconsolidator.com(i think that is the name) And the siggie had to be mailed

I downloaded my forms, filled them out and sent them registered mail. I've been waiting about a week and nothing is showing up on the website yet. I actually logged on to ask if anyone knew how long it took for them to approve and post.

I completed my paperwork completely online on May 27th. As of yesterday it was still in cert status.

When I did mine on the phone I was told that they would use that date as the processed date, but the sign and return the papers ASAP. I'm still waiting for the papers to come in the mail.

I've been checking the direct loan website daily. I submitted the application on June 23. It said unable to determine status (or something like that) for a while. Then yesterday it said cert status. So I thought, well at least its progress. Then today, its back to unavailable. Hopefully that means its processing at least.

I did mine through Citibank. They were the lender for all my loans except one Ford Direct. Citibank is studentloan.com. Yes, I did everything online. My signature and everything was done electronically.

I have no idea how long the process takes becvause I did mine about 2 months ago and its still being processed and I am still paying my normal loan payment until at least July 27th.

I was talking to a friend of mine at Southwest Student services yesterday and they are running 90 days behind and more. They and all the other lenders got slammed with consolidation applications. Be patient...it will take awhile!!!!!
Also it is summer and people are on vacation.
