Full Version: Question About rehab
CreditBoards > Financing > Student Loans

I have a 1800.00 default amount. I am in wage garnishment I cannot rehab because my balance is so small. If I pay 50.00 on top of my wage garnishment there won't be anything to rehab. Is there anything anyone can think of to help. This is the only real blemish on my CR. By the way I know I am a Idiot for letting 1800.0 ruin my credit. Question is what can I do about it now? Does anyone know about getting paid loans taken off. Trying to buy a house in 6 months. Is there anyone who can help.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do now. You have to have at least $1000 at the end of rehab, which clearly you won't have. Have you tried contacting the holder of your loan to see if they can give suggestions?

I'm no expert, but I think you're pretty well out of luck. It's a tough lesson to learn too. You might try calling them and asking if voluntary payments during rehab would help your situation at all.
