  1. CPPSAVINGS works, but it was 25, go with the one guys.
  2. First I would like to say, THANK YOU CREDITBOARDS.com In 45 days I have raised an average of 35 points, and my wife 44 points. Ok we are looking for a mortgage and I am a Vet, so 620 is the magic number, and since we live in Kalifornia, my wife's report is as important as mine, or so I am told. Ok question here: We both need between 10 - 15 points on EQ and TU to get the mortgage and live happily ever after.... We both have toy cards now since we had no credit cards, both are 300 dollar credit lines and secured. Before we found our way on this board, and got a small bit of knowledge of how to take care of this credit thing, we paid ALL our past delinquent debts and only had 7 that claimed they would delete. Fortunately they all did but one, and well words are one thing, action is another... I don't wish to go the road to try and make them good on it. For the record we have 5-8 inq's that are lowering our score. Anyone have input to raise those last few points? Also the lesson was learned, never be late, ever, and if there is a plane crash that keeps you from paying on time, call them and work it out, I think that is the most important, and now hope to get the ever after, reason for the hope to speed this one along is timing, big career change, house must change, and would like to move into a home that I own, well with a mortgage which isnt really owning... but that is another rant.
  3. Thank you CMW, but I had to grow up financially sometime right?
  4. Clambert and Radi, Thank you for your replies. Everything was paid in full no settlements at all. Heck a few I offered to pay additional for deletions, no takers... I am looking at a few secured CC's to get that for util score, but again I hate CC's they are money pits, but I guess it could collect dust next to my 1911. Thanks guys, I am hoping to get in by Jan 1, but realistically I think I am going to be renting for a few months (which is another money pit.)
  5. For the CA that isnt reporting to the OC, I paid this off in 2008, should that not be enough time to update? (issue one) In my haste I spoke with all creditors, and was told they would mail me a letter of deletion if I PIF, I waited 2 days thinking this would be enough time to get the letters out of their boxes, and then went back and paid... I know it isnt a method anyone should use, but I had hoped to get my score increased in time to get a mortgage loan before I left the military. It now looks as though I am going to be renting, uggggg.
  6. Well I have read many posts, the Doc credit repair steps, and tried to find posts that were similar to my issues. Read and believed I understood the issues, consulted a few financial advisors, and set off to repair my credit. I was a bit brash and quick. Now I could blame this or that on why I was late in the first place, but I wont, I know not to do it anymore, and set things up properly so it doesnt happen again... Now on to my problems. I have paid all past due accounts in full, except for one, which was in collections, and I had paid the CA back in 2008, the OC will not remove the derog, nor the 517.00 that I paid to the CA not them. (this is issue one) Two OC's reported PIF, Charged off account, and LOWERED my credit score about 20 points! (issue two) Sent CMRRR's to all 3 CRA's for each and ever issue on my credit report (even if it wasnt on their report) (issue three) I also need to get input from a credit monitoring company that you all best like. MyFICO was what I used but didnt like the flow, should I just deal with it or is there something better? (issue four) Will it get better? (issue five) Now I was attempting to get a mortgage loan for the first time, as it was cheaper than paying rent, have a secured and well paying job lined up, as I am currently in the military, and well I am looking at everything and don't have a clue of what to do now. In full I have 0.00 owed to any former account. I have 3 current installment accounts that I have NEVER missed payment on. Now I know this is possibly premature as I started my Credit repair this month, but from OCT 1 to today OCT 16 I have lost 20+ points on average from all of my credit scores. So to recap, can I get feedback and potential help in the following issues: 1. Does an OC have to change their TL to PIF charged off, if I paid an CA? Does it help that I paid this back in May 2008 and still to this day the OC reports a balance of over $500? 2. Is it common in the first month or so to PIF to a OC or CA, and it actually hurts your score? These accounts were all Charge Offs originally, and I paid in full, no settlements. 3. Is it bad to send a CMRRR dispute to the CRA's on issues not currently reported with their report? (I was a bit of a mental midget when I realized I did this) 4. What is your recommendation on a Credit monitoring company and service? 5. Will it get better? (my scores that is)
