I received the same offer earlier this year and I applied for this card and was approved for a $3500 limit and I must say so far, I really like this card, I've already begun earning cash rewards. When I checked my credit report, they pulled EQ, I have no baddies or lates on any of my credit reports I say go ahead and apply and you might be suprised to find a decent CL as well and if the card is used responsibly, I don't forsee any issues with BofA.

Congrats on your new card!

YAY, I was approved for a Discover More Card, I've been wanting this card for a couple years now, ever since I started my rebuilding process!! I don't know my CL yet, but I will be getting my card soon and will find out the CL then

I just was approved for a bank of america credit card with a credit limit of $3500. A year and a half ago when I began my credit rebuliding, I could have never thought that possible. Thanks to all the great advice from CB! Now it's time to start getting rid of my toy cards! Woot, a Happy Day!

I've never had a problem with FP, however it is not the best card for rebuilding and I wish I had known more about it (and these boards) before I had applied for it last year, I would have gone with a secured instead, however I did end up with the card and in another year, once I get some better cards (already on the road to that) I plan to close it.

I don't know about posting it in a public domain, but at my work we will put a comment in a persons file if after 2 times they send a bad check (we understand sometimes things happen and don't make a comment for first time) but it's not for public view, only company personel. -
Does anyone knows Amex "Select & Pay Later" For Charge Card?
choirlady replied to Ron1's topic in Credit Forum
I agree with others, PIF it and only put on it what you can pay off in a month. If you need to carry a balance at times then use another CC. -
Well, I've had FP for a year now and granted we're always charged the monthly fee and the annual fee when that comes up, but I still PIF and I was recently approved for an Amex Green, so it's definately possible for you to get amex down the road!

Oh they sure can. I have one of their cards and mine was raised from .50 to 1.00 (if you are charged interest, the charge will be no less than $1.00) So if you take their card, be prepared for interest raises in the future too. I PIF my account and I plan to use it another year as credit continues to rebuild, and then sock drawer it.

I think your goals sound great and will give you something to work towards. I definately think it's possible to obtain that credit score or close to it and finding a home in that price range shouldn't be so difficult and if you manage your money well this year, you will be able to put that much down. As for selling your home at that value, I can't say, because I'm not aware of your location, nor the condition of the home, so again that too is always possible. Atleast these goals will help you to keep focused, working hard and something to obtain. Good luck with it all and let us know how it all goes!

Like others have said, look into your credit union or also some of the rebuilder type cards such as Orchard, or the secured CC"s where you put a certain amount down, you could also either check with the credit union or your bank about opening an installment loan, which will give you a positive pay history on your credit report and also gives you a different type of credit, to help you re-establish your credit. How my banks installment loan worked, I paid $50.00 to open it and they put 1000. in my savings account but froze the 1000. and set me up with a monthly payment (very small amount too) and once ti's paid off then that 1000. is mine. So just some options to help you and I think with your scores there should be something out there, don't hope for much and it will take time to re-establish and get better credit, but even if it's one with an AF, atleast it will help you get back on your feet and down the road you can get rid of those type of cards.
