  1. Ok, another question but in the same thread... I have on 2 CA's that continues to call on separate medical collection even thought they were removed from EXP and EQ via online disputes and Why Chat's HIPPA letter. (Thanks Why Chat!) They both still call about 1-2x per week. They both still report to TU but I haven't gotten my TU report in the mail to dispute that. Maybe I am answering my own question here but..."cease and desist" letter? Seems logical. If so and since they've been removed, how should I word it or should I wait to dispute to TU?
  2. This is very similar to my Chexsystems report. I was denied at Chase because of it. I had with Harris Bank that was closed because of "NSF" and this is what my Chexsystems report states. The report also states they have no debt information available, and to contact the source to determine if a debt is owed. I know it was sold to a CA (Barons) because that it was is stated on my TU CR. They only report to TU. Here is why it is different for me. I suspect that someone else (perhaps my wife) either used my debit card or wrote my name to checks causing the overdrafts and the bank to finally close the account. I had no idea until I have just recently been trying to clean things up on my CR that I saw this out there. At the time, I could not explain the overdrafts. My question is this; How do I dispute this? I strongly suspect a case of "identity theft". Do I dispute it the normal way thru Chexsystems or go thru the fraud alert process with them?
  3. I am waiting for my other two reports via US Mail. Once I get them and if they are still there, I will dispute them as well with the HIPPA letter. It seems to have worked so far. My address are cleaned up as much as they can be. EXP won't remove 2 because they say an OC reports that as my address. Good tip about the green cards. Thanks!
  4. I haven't yet. I am waiting for them to come in the mail which could be this week. Do I say something like "EXP deleted this, you should too". Does that work? Maybe I missed it but...Is it fair to assume that once they are gone (deleted) they are gone for good?
  5. The accounts were closed because they were paid off. However, there was some late pays in each, nothing too terrible, but they both report as negative on all my CR's. The other thing that I find interesting is that EXP "verified" these accounts quickly, much less than 30 days. I think this by itself is a red flag, yes?
  6. I have 2 "paid, closed" accounts from 2 car loans that I paid off in 2006. One was opened in October 2002 and the other in April 2002. There is some negative items in each. Since it will be 7 years since this account was opened, why is the one from April 2002 still around and shouldn't the one from October 2002 come off in October 2009 (next month)? Keep in mind...a newbie question... I think I need an explanation of the "7 year rule"...Thanks for reading.
  7. A victory! I think... I just got a printed copy of my Experian report in the mail today and all 4 of the medical collections I had on my Experian report have been deleted! Now, I disputed these online...does it make a difference ? They had been sending me results of their investigation and I saw 2 deletions, but now today they are all gone. One of them was a really bad CA that I sent Why Chat's HIPPA letter to...I never got the return receipt card back in the mail either from the CA regarding that letter...I find that odd... Two questions... So can they come back? Can I tell TU and EQ "Look, EXP deleted them...so should you"? Thanks for reading
  8. It's been charged off since 2006. For that matter, IDT Carmel never reported it either. HSBC keeps reporting it and verifying it. Assuming I get somewhere with this, meaning I can negogiate a settlement with HSBC, how would this appear on my CR and what would it do to my score? Thanks for replying.
  9. They report it as "write off/transferred". I'm not sure exactly what CCT is, but they are not my hard copies. I haven't received them yet. This is from my online copy. HSBC wants nothing to do with me and they say so in writing. They say contact IDT and so on... The 2 people who bought it (IDT and LVNV) have never contacted me. On my online copy of my CR, it reports $0. So I don't know who I could even negotiate with, even if I wanted to do that, and how much to start with. What's my next step? The whole "balance owed" cannot be more than $500.
  10. I am in process of ordering the 3...er...4 reports now. For the record...I have had some CA's deleted via online disputes from TU and EXP. Can those return? I'm in Illinois so my understanding is I can get my reports for free. Do I have that right? Thanks for reading.
  11. I guess I need a definition and an example of what an "open" account is and what a "sales" account is? Still a newbie... So my "real" reports will contain more specific date information? All I see on this one is "date opened" and "date reported". This report makes it look like everything is current, and there isn't any of those with dates older than 2006. I also know some of these accounts are older than 2006. How can I tell if they are passed the SOL, based on the information I have? One other question...I have ordered copies of my credit reports from each of the Big 3 online. Do I have to pay to get them mailed to me? Thanks for reading.
  12. From my TU 3-1 Credit reported received via US Mail here are my collection accounts Some of the CA's names I listed and some I did not. The ones I didn't are local guys. The ones I list appear to be really bad folks (from searches on this site and Google) and I need help in dealing with them. I can tell you that I have read all the "newbie" threads, opted-out of everything I could under the sun, and started the HIPPA letter process from Why Chat's instructions regarding "Bad CA #3". No responses from them as of yet on my letter. I have also had alot of old/incorrect names/address deleted. Where do I begin or where do I continue? I've done some DV on these and some have come back as "validated". Has anyone had any luck dealing with any of these I named? Be kind...I'm a newbie...Thanks for reading. HSBC Bank Unknown amount. Reports on all 3. Sold to IDT Carmel who sold it to LVNV Funding who sold it to Resurgent Capital Services. No amount shown even on the letter I just got from HSBC/Orchard Bank. Just to call IDT Carmel. No entity to date has ever contacted me regarding this. AT&T $39. Reports on TU and EQ only. Reports as "collection/charge off". For Cell service that I still have. Bad CA #1 $363. Reports on all 3. I did a "pay for deletion" on this one recently for a lesser amount and EQ actually just removed it. I have requested that TU and EXP do the same. Bad CA #2 $375. Reports on EXP and TU only. For a medical claim that the OC didn't do the proper insurance paperwork on. Just sent me to collections. The CA and the OC is aware of this! Note: I got the $1600 medical claim deleted from my CR from a different CA by getting the insurance paperwork straight. Bad CA #3 (Merchants Credit Guide..also reports as Merchants CR) $441. Reports on EXP and TU only. $302. Reports on TU only. Another medical claim and they just sent me another collections letter for $1609. Bad CA #4 (Collection Company of America...Also reports as UNKNOWN on EQ only) $150. Reports on all 3. Something about a red light camera? Bad CA #5 (RJM ACQ LLC) $673 $766. Reports on EXP and TU only. Closed checking accounts. Not sure why or what the amounts are for. RJM has "validated" this debt. Bad CA#6 $562. Reports on TU only. Closed checking account. No contact information from them. Lawyer #1 $56 Medical collections. A local lawyer. Have address but no phone number. Seems small enough. Do I just "pay for delete"?
  13. What is interesting is that according to my TrueCredit 3 in 1 report I received in the mail, all 3 CRA's report this somehow differently. Not a single CRA has all of the information correctly. TU actually reports this as "open/paid" and none of the payment terms are consistent. So what could I say? Something like "Purchaser of this account is unknown to me and I have no information with whom to follow up. Please delete". HSBC has verified it but they say they sold it to "IDT CARMEL" and to contact them. The number on the letter says IDT sold it to LVNV who has never contacted me. For that matter, HSBC never contacted me either on this "collection".
  14. I had a card from HSBC/Orchard Bank that went to collections. I had moved and I stopped receiving statements. By the time I got that straight they already closed the account and then sent me to collections. All 3 of my reports say $0 is owed and that the balanced was transferred. HSBC has verified it before and said that they sold it to "IDT Carmel". I've never gotten anything from IDT Carmel, and now it turns out that "LVNV Funding" has bought the account from IDT Carmel but that my account was being sent to "Resurgent Capital Services". Is there anything I can do about trying to get this deleted? I have no information/correspondence from either IDT, LVNV or Resurgent. The only way I know this exists is to look at my reports. Its a write off to HSBC so even if I paid it, who gets paid and who reports it? Thanks for reading.
  15. Thanks for all the responses. I am in Illiniois. Funny thing is I don't see it showing up on my reports now. How could it be passed the SOL? I thought that was 10 years?
