  2. This is the very first car i financed!! Details: -2008 BMW M coupe ~15,000 miles. Complete with all options. -Pulled Exp Auto enhanced. Score was 734! (really surprising) -Asking price 38K. Negotiated down to 32K. 4K down payment -4.9% for 60 I think i did ok for my first car buying experience. I couldnt have done it without CB!! BTW i'm from southern california...

  7. Is it possible to go to a car dealership and find out your financing terms (approved loan amount & apr) prior to browsing for a car? It just makes more sense to me to know what price range i qualify for before I browse.

  11. Well, generally speaking, the older the negative debt is, the less bearing it has on your scores. Have you tried a good faith letter with the lates? Also, as a former car salesman, I can tell you this... A large down payment can overcome credit issues 99% of the time. It's called an "equity buy". It means that the lender has a significantly lower loan-to-value ratio in the car and they can keep their losses to a minimum should you default. Hope this helps.   12. UPDATE: After many months of calling Amex I finally received my oasis optima card today!!!!! woooo hooooo!!!!! The best thing about it is that the TL back dates to 1998!!! My card reads "member since 98" Thanks for everything CB!!!!!!!!!
