My dad was in the Army so I became a member and have been getting dividends for as long as I can remember. The one I just got this week was for $92.69.

Why not? They'll get their money back one way or another. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if Discover covers most of the Amazon gift card expense since they are benefiting by getting another card member in the process. For what it's worth, I only spent $9.08 and got the $75 gift card.

It seems like Amazon has these deals pop up quite often. They had a similar Discover deal a couple months ago but for $75. Of course, it's only for new accounts, so I just signed my wife up for her own card. She was approved and I bought one item with the card and just received the $75 gift card code via email last month.

Really??? that's sounds like an overkill.......a big one too....I refied a car loan with them in 1/2010....they recently started to advertise $100 bonus for a refi.....seems like they are soliciting new business for car refis rather heavily..... surprise to hear about your experience. That depends on your credit monitoring service. Some are daily pullers (CCT, CS, others) and some arent (whatever your using ) I actually felt kind of sad when I ran out of inquiries and turned off my monitoring services...I suddenly had a hole in my morning routine Empty Inquiry Syndrome, a dark, dark affliction. Easy cure. . . apply for new credit.

Not sure if that matters. I tried the preselector a couple weeks ago for the RZMC and got approved for a $500 platinum card. . . I already have four other HSBC cards including a RZMC (gold) that I've had since 2006.

Your TU Inquiry will show up again tomorrow or the next day. Unfortunately it did not B*. It is a glitch on TU... Yep, this happened to me last week with Chase. The hard showed up on TU only to disappear the next day and then reappear the day after that.
