  1. I was approved for the Chase Sapphire Preffered Card with an EQ FICO of 722, 6 INQ, 0% UTI, my initial limit was $18k. I say go for it!! (AI - $120k)
  2. My wife and I want to get our first joint CC together to use towards furnishing and updating our new home. Ideally the card will have a CL of over $15k... Any suggestions as where to apply? Our FICO's -- 780 and 766 Joint income -- $160k Current revolving debt utilization - 3% My highest limit card -- $25k Chase Sapphire Preferred Hers -- $13k Discover More
  3. Thanks for the reply, Brian! Things tend to happen rather quickly if you go directly to the top and threaten to file a lawsuit for negligence.
  4. Nevermind... It's gone already
  5. My old VZW updated during December erronsously and showed that I was 120 days past due. This account was closed in 2008. I wrote an email to corporate and this week I spoke to a person in their Inhouse Recovery Department. She apologized for the error and told me that they were going to delete the entire account from all 3 bureaus. The only one reporting it as past due is EQ. I have a letter from VZW stating that the account is being deleted. My EX & TU FICO's are near 800. With the deletion of the VZW account it should raise my EQ FICO from 698 to over 755. Would a mortgage lender be able to approve me for a prime loan with only this letter or do I have to wait up to 45 days for EQ to update?
  6. was this in regards to something that you found on your credit reports, and sent a DV ? or was this in response to a collection letter? A CA doesn't have to respond to a DV that was recieved within the 30 days response time, but until they do , they have to cease collection attempts. was this CA trying to collect on behalf of a JDB, or was this from the JDB? need more information... Thanks for the response!! No, it wasn't a response to anything on my CR... Just a letter in response to a collection letter. They have ceased collections completely. It was a CA collecting on be-half of another company... This is ancient debt, maybe 15 years old or so.
  7. I had a zombie debt rear it's head last month... I sent them Whychat's Validate/C&D letter. I have not received any response from them. What options, if any, do I have here?
  8. Hehe! Thanks Breeze! I truly believe this debt is over 16 years old
  9. The letter just states that their client's name is 'Galaxy Asset Purchasing' and that the previous creditor is 'JCP'. No actual JCP acct # is listed. It's a really crappy letter actually. No, unfortunately I don't have any old reports. I tried MyFico and TrueCredit but they must not store the older reports. Should I just send them a DV?
  10. Thanks Marv! Actually on it now
  11. I love them but geez, it sure takes them a long time to send new cards out. It took 3 1/2 weeks to finally receive the AMEX Travel Rewards card I was approved for last month.
  12. I'm in the middle of writing my FOAD letter but I don't know the DOFD was. This account hasn't been on any of my reports for eons. Should I just make a date up?
  13. I've read online that it's anywhere from 3 years to no SOL at all on credit card debt.
