That’s good news right? The first missed payments all occurred between 2014 and 2015. Yet some collection agencies didnt buy the debt until a few years after. I’m assuming this is a game they play? First missed payment is 2014, but for some reason one or two of the collections are due to fall off in 2026. Haven’t had credit since 2014, except for a builder account that I opened last year. Credit score is 530-634 depending on the CRA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Credit help respectfully requested - Road to recovery regarding collections. Finally got address deletion

Hi Whychat, thanks for your response. I’m actually very grateful for your credit repair guide and have followed it for some time. I used your dispute guide for business credit and business lease charge offs on my personal report. I then realized that the sneaky CAs reported my two business addresses as my home address, which prevented their deletion. I don’t have any medical collections. Are you saying I should wait until 3 months after the last dispute to try again in writing? Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve been following WhyChat for quite some time, and his methods have worked in the past. What he said above is correct. Also, your responses aren’t helping at all. You’re literally just posting to discourage people from removing collections. I’m asking for help here because there are people with knowledge and experience on how to fix credit, if I wanted to lose hope and get discouraged again, I’ll be sure to reach out to you ASAP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The social doesn’t match because I didn’t cosign or provide them with my social. It has the EIN of the business. But If 3 out of 4 things match, the collection is valid (name, address, date of birth, SSN/EIN). So they illegally reported the address in order to validate the collection. Thanks for the reply! I thought about this, but if the only address on the collection is my business address, and that business address was deleted, shouldn’t it be deleted? The collection shouldn’t even be on my report since the commercial accounts didn’t use me as a guarantor or a co-signer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TL;DR at the bottom for convenience. Thank you in advance for any help at all. Hey everyone. I’m a long time lurker and user. I started lurking around high school in 2006-2007, with my undeveloped brain trying to build up credit and supercharge my sign up bonus potential. In 2014, a close family member passed away from cancer. I used my credit to help pay that debt so that treatment went uninterrupted. At one point the bills got so high, that not only could I not pay them back, but I couldn’t even pay for them as they exceeded the limits of my cards. Debt and credit limits meant nothing to me in a bid to save my relative. I’m no stranger to WhyChat’s dispute process. Years later, and many whychat dispute letters, I’ve unsuccessfully removed only one collection out of a handful (tried this process a few months ago). Some of these collections and charge-offs are linked to business cards and auto leases. Fast forward, I tried something new and managed to get my business addresses removed from every CRA. TU and EX confirmed removed, with EQ still pending but should be successful as well. I’d like to start one thing at a time and focus on removing any collections and negative accounts related to those business addresses. Should I send dispute letters out again even though I was just denied a few months ago, prior to the address deletion? Next issue is certain collection agencies have been increasing the balance of my collections every month by $20-70 probably to actively hurt my credit. Collections that were set to expire 2021-2023 are now 2026. For anyone wondering the name of this virulent collection agency, it is Cavalry Portfolio. [im desperate to find the light at the end of the tunnel TL; DR: business Addresses linked to old collections and charge offs successfully deleted. Should I resend the dispute letters or so them online, since it’s pretty a straight forward mismatch of information? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any idea where I can find the application online, so I can print it and fax it over? Or is calling the only option now???

What's so good about the barclay card anyway? Isn't that a women's clothing line?
-
Any luck on your discover card? When I opened mine they gave me a $300 cash back offer, and started me off with a $4500 limit. A few months later it automatically increased to $7900, and not even a year later, it automatically increased to $13700. I asked today if a non-inquiry increase to $18K was possible, she said try when my next statement cuts (tomorrow)... who knows! I spend a lot of money on all my cards and I pay in full. I'd say I spent at least $50-$60K on my discover card in 2012, but I barely use it anymore. We'll see what happens tomorrow

Oh sorry it said monthly, I thought it said yearly!

I beg your pardon?

Hi! You go to the ultimate rewards mall and pick cash / statement credit from the tab, and you are done. I'm not sure if they'll post in time as a payment, so do it at you're own risk.

Hey everyone, happy new years eve! I used to have a fico score of about 750-760 for both Equifax and Transunion, but after using a lot of my personal cards for business use (I know, dumb) I've racked up a lot of debt but now I'm paying it off for the most part (I already opened a few new business cards and I've gotten everything in order) BUT I'm focused on my scores now. I just made these payments as of a few days ago, and today: Discover - $12,000 owed / $13700 limit - Paid to $0 Chase: $4700 owed / $20,000 limit - paid to $0 Citi card 1: $1486 owed / $14000 limit - paid to $0 Bank of America - $2900 owed / $5000 limit - paid to $0 I have about 10 cards total, but the remaining cards have 0 balances so I'm not including them. I just paid all of those cards after reporting with a balance for over a year. Before: $30,000 out of an available $74000 After: $9760 out of an available $74000 FICO Before debt paid : 690 FICO after: ?????? Thanks everyone!
