Which Citibank card would be the best to apply for, better chance to get? I see they have like 19 different cards... Thanks!
-
Thank you for the information. I am a member of a CU, have applied with them for a CC but have been denied. They checked Experian and I have a public record on Experian only, i guess i have to wait till that falls off and try again or try and dispute it off? Thanks, Kelly

Ok, well I have accomplished what I set out to do with cleaning up my credit and that was to purchase my first home and I DID IT! We moved in almost 3 months ago. Thanks CB Users and all those who helped me through this with my seemingly endless questions. I really appreciate it. Now, I want to start eliminating some of my credit cards: My cards are as follows: Hooters-$300 HSBC-$420 Sears MC-$500 Sears-$350 Chevron-$350 Care Credit-$700 Capital One-$500 Hooters has a $0.00 balance, as far as my improving my credit score is it better to just not use the card and leave it open or just close it? Same question for HSBC. These are definitely the first 2 I am considering closing. Thank You, Kelly

I have already looked through the credit pulls database, but I was just wondering what anyone's exprience was recently with apping for a credit card and getting a higher limit (more than 300-500)? And with which card that was that you applied for? My credit scores should be below. Thanks for your input, Kelly

Thanks & Good Luck to you!! I guess one waits until whenever to find out if one is actually approved for the loan?! My realtor told me that the loan process can take 30 - 45 days - But the lender already has my information and as long as the docs he e-mails me tonight are submitted immediately there should be no problem. I guess I'm just nervous about the approval for the actual loan and from what my brother has told me (who has bought 2 houses now) that the nervousness is normal.

What is the purpose of a letter to an underwriter and are they always required? Thanks!

I am in contract to buy a home, loan process is underway (I was pre-approved for a loan). The contract and disclosures are about ready for me to sign, home inspection is scheduled for Friday, and the house is due to close May 31st - June 3rd. How does or when will one know that they will be approved for the actual loan to buy the house? I'm kind of nervous about this since this is the first time for me. I am confused about the paying for the home inspection ($400+/-) prior to getting the loan approved, then again I am new to this home buying venture. Thanks, Kelly

As of today, the 10 inquiries are gone on Experian! Thanks everyone for the info! Kelly

Ok, well currently my scores are: TransUnion 662 & Equifax 645 So I guess we'll see how the change affects it. Thanks!

Thank You. So, then of my four current cc's, 3 will have a $0.00 balance. 1- $0.00 w/$420 credit line 2 - $0.00 w/$350 credit line 3 - $126 w/$300 credit line (will be down to $0.00 shortly) 4 - $152 w/$500 credit line (will be down to $25.00 shortly) Thanks everyone - What kind of score increase do you "think" this will produce? Just an estimate/guess please. 10 pts? 20? Thank You

Even if they are different dates? Ok, well regardless I would just like to see them gone! I'll wait another month or so then.. Thanks!

Yes, I am trying to improve my score as much as possible for a new mortgage. So, knowing that... pay those 2 to $0.00 or leave them both within 10% of the available? Money is not an issue and I can pay them in full, but I want to do what's best for my credit score. Thanks everyone! Kelly

I currently have 4 active/open cc's. Two of which are showing a $0.00 balance. The other 2 -- One has a $152 balance on a $500 card & the other has a $126 balance on a $300 card. Should I leave the balances on both cards at say $100 each -- Or pay these 2 to 0.00 as well? Thanks! Kelly

Hi all - I have a total of 10 inquiries that are due to fall off. 5 dated April 18th, 2008 - 2 dated April 20th, 2008 - 1 dated April 21st, 2008 & 2 dated April 23rd, 2008 (this was the result of car shopping) Any ideas as to when these might fall off? Another week or so, or? They have not "gone away" as of today's date. Oh and these are only on Experian. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, Kelly

How did you get them to delete?
