  1. Got my Penfed rewards Visa today. Got a 5000 limit and a 0% for 18 months balance transfer. I have tried for this card a long time ago with no luck.
  2. I havent checked my scores in a long time. faco's are scoring between 680 and 712.I do know I have a lot of inquiries but no baddies.
  3. Instant approval, got offer in the mail.looks decent 0% balance transfers for 21 months and 0% apr on purchases for 18 months.
  4. Yeah that or I'm going to have to find a more expensive bike.Dealers credit union will do the loan but at 36 months, which puts the payment higher than I want.
  5. I am trying to finance a motorcycle. It is $5100 dollars and Nada book on it is $5100 dollars. I got approved for a motorcycle loan but their minimum is $6000 so they say they cannot do it, to try as a signature loan for $5100. So I have re-apped for a signature loan which is a slightly higher rate. I am betting that I get turned down because it is much more risk for them. I don't understand why there would be a minimum loan amount? Does anyone have a clue? I asked the CSR but She did not know.
  6. We are such enablers here. But that is right, nothing to lose and do it before someone else grabs the CL. I did. I tried for the platinum cash rewards and got an instant denial. I thought I might. reasons given were too many new accounts, utilization vs limit, and too many inquiries. My HSBC is hasn't reported its being paid off and closed, and my discover has not reported its limit yes, but its fine, I really don't need another card right now,in a few weeks I will be paying off the small balances I have, then I will wait a while and give it another try.
  7. Why don't you apply for the PenFed Visa now? It would be using the same pull they did for membership, so you might as well go for it. I have been thinking about it,but I just opened the Discover card, it hasn't even reported yet, Do you think itstoo early, or for that matter I guess I have nothing to lose if they use the same pull.
  8. ~Wow you have done a Great Job! Congrats.
  9. I just got my Discover Card with $4k credit limit, I have a Chase Amazon only 500 CL but no annual Fee, I also have a Walmart and Home Depot. So my overall limit I lost will more than be covered by the Discover Card.
  10. My HSBC was my oldest card, but only 800 limit (started at 300)59 annual fee,my hooters is a little over a year old only 300 limit and 39 annual fee.I transferred balances to my new Discover card (from HSBC) no balance on Hooters.I told both I am not willing to pay annual fees any longer, neither one would budge.I also opened an account at Penfed, I'm going to wait a while and try for their Visa.Anyway I have no real question, just wanting your thoughts, any good reason to keep around low limit, annual fee cards? I may get affected by AAofA but I think its worth it in the long run.
