  1. Doesn't look good...hubby has a TX CDL....does not matter if he gets a ticket in the truck or in a 4-wheel vehicle, all citations go on his record for the simple reason his license is CDL. I don't know how it works for out of state CDLs, but my guess, it will go on his record.
  2. Several years ago I was rear-ended and the man gave me his insurance info, address, etc. No police came. Turns out, insurance was cancelled and he no longer lived at the address on his driver's license. I only had liability insurance on my car. I went down to the courthouse (tag office) and gave them his tag number. I had to sign a form pretty much saying I had a legal reason for requesting the owner's name and address. I think it cost me $2.00. Unfortunately, he no longer lived at that address. You might be able to go that route, but if your insurance is involved, they should be able to take care of it for you. Good luck!
  3. You need that brake pedal on the passenger side...like the one they have in some of the driver's ed cars. It might be good for her to take driver's ed..I would imagine the instructors have a smidge more patience than us regular folks, and would be better equipped to deal with her attention span. I never took driver's ed - is it expensive? I'd love to have that brake pedal..and maybe a steering wheel too! It cost $350 for the driver's ed course. I really wish they would offer it back into the school. I'd be all over it.
  4. My oldest got his license last year..we did the parent taught driver's ed. He already had some experience driving before (around the farm) so it wasn't too bad teaching him to drive. However, my daughter got her permit a few months ago...I'm seriously thinking about putting her thru a driver's ed school before she gets her license this fall. I don't know if I will survive (my sanity!) driving with her. She does not pay enough attention, when you tell her to turn right, she'll start left, without looking first. She doesn't like me riding with her...I don't like it either. We need to do more practice driving, but I keep putting it off...I really don't have the temperment to teach someone like her. ( Doesn't help that I do the majority of the driving, which means I'm used to being 'in control' of the vehicle all the time...) Good luck!
  5. Glad you like yours! Several years ago we bought the Whirlpool duet dryer with the intention of buying the washer later on. Instead, last December we bought the Samsung VRT with steam...love it...no vibration, doesn't walk. We will be buying the dryer shortly.
  6. Jumping in.... '95 Suburban 206,000 miles put in new transmission right around at the 200,000 mile mark '99 F350 Crew Cab (diesel) 201,000 miles replaced clutch at one point, nothing else so far (knock on wood!)
  7. It's local...has several branches in/around our county. I was pretty disappointed. All the other local banks we've used report..I assumed this one did as well.
  8. After our discharge, we bought a vehicle, went thru our bank, with the mindset that it would be a positive tradeline for us...after pulling hard copies of reports, I noticed they were not on any of them...mine or his. I decided to call and ask about it...she said they are a non-reporting agency. She said if we are trying to get credit somewhere, they can fill out a form for us to give to the potential creditor showing our history with them. What a pain. I had already debated about getting different financing late this year, hopefully with a better interest rate after working on our reports (especially his), thinking we could have a positive TL after refi, now that won't happen...this has pretty much made up my mind to go after better financing and to get it on our credit reports
  9. went to their site... Below are the payment methods accepted at a Sam's Club location: Sam's Club Credit account Walmart and Sam's Club gift cards Cash or check Discover® MasterCard® Debit card EBT -- learn more American Express® and Visa® are not accepted for In-Club purchases. Below are the payment methods accepted on samsclub.com: Sam's Club credit account Walmart and Sam's Club gift cards Check Discover® Visa® MasterCard® American Express® Debit Card EBT -- learn more is not accepted on samsclub.com. I don't know how my visa debit card went thru in store...I couldn't tell you the pin to save my life...
  10. Actually, on second thought, they must take Visa as well....I went in one day and forgot I had no checks..used my debit card...it's visa.
  11. I've used M/C at Sams. I think they have changed it from just Discover...I don't think they take Visa though.
  12. +1 if you can't afford the FULL payment, you shouldn't be buying their over priced crap. Not all of their stuff is overpriced crap. As I said above, I recently bought a treadmill from HSN after comparing different brands from different stores in real buildings. It is a name brand, could have bought from Sears, but I got a BETTER deal from HSN. I could have paid for it in FULL, but chose not to...why, because they are allowing me to make payments for ZERO interest. I have bought several things NAME BRAND from HSN/QVC...all for a BETTER price than at a brick and motar building. Not everyone can pay in full for big ticket items that they need/want. The easy pay plan is great for those people as well as people on a budget...or just anyone that doesn't want to pay in full until they get the item and see if they're happy with it and want to return it....less money they are out of until the item is returned. Everyone has their own opinion concerning QVC/HSN....unless you try it, you don't really know. And no, not everything they sell is great. That's what reviews are for.
  13. I've never given or been asked for my ss#. Why is easy pay a joke? Payment terms with no interest.
  14. If an item is expensive, a lot of times easy pay is available. I've done this several times on QVC and HSN (just bought a treadmill on easy pay). I've always used my debit card...never had any credit pull, even when my card expired and it didn't go thru for a payment. They would send me a letter and I'd call and give them the new expiration date.

    Name ID

I did dispute a phone number, from 10+ years ago online and it was removed. I also disputed an address that doesn't even exist (has our road name but the house number doesn't exist). It was removed. I also disputed an address that was incomplete..they updated it to RR 1, city and state...I'm going to request how they verified that. I have held off on the name disputes, and other disputes, while I learn more on here. I do plan on mailing off some disputes this week. Just didn't know how they verify names. I don't want them to contact the CA if the one name is linked to them. Thanks for your help!
