  1. This is what I got from prosper.com. Just thought I would try them to see what it might tell me, not needing anything. Also my experian report is frozen. So that might impact you. Experian does not have a credit file on record for you and therefore could not provide us with a valid credit score. New borrowers on Prosper must have a valid credit score above 640 to participate. For borrowers with previous loans, the minimum required credit score is 600. To find out more about your credit history, or if you believe that this result is in error, please contact Experian at www.experian.com or 1-888-397-3742. Prosper does not provide you with a credit score, but rather pulls your data directly from Experian, so we cannot help you change this result.
  2. Here is mine...I have not pulled my scores since I closed on my house back in Sept. I started at 560 to 610 back in April of 2009. Closed on the house Sept 2009.   3. What is the best way to ask for a recon? And does anyone have a good number for Barclay's Priceline to request a recon? Thanks in advance?
  4. You have to request a freeze and generally pay at least a small amount. Now Fraud Alerts are a different matter, and can cause you not to be able to get your reports unless you can identify yourself. I have never had a problem requesting my frozen report from EX. ( online and paper)
  5. As I understand it...someone correct me if I am wrong... It is too your advantage to dispute as obsolete and get them to delete for several reasons which are known...but the one reason that seems to be forgotten if I understand it correctly is when a tradeline is deleted early for whatever reason....it will not appear on a full factual report.
  6. Congrats take what you can get!! Especially if your repairing and or rebuilding. A 100 CL can lead to a 300 then 500 then 1000 and so on.
  7. Not been quite a year yet...coming up next month...in that time managed to totally clean up my EQ and TU reports. Not one baddy on them. EX is frozen as I just got plain tired to dealing with them. All 3 have true extended fraud alerts on them. Gonna let that stay until at least these 2 accounts have aged. I am in special handling with both EQ and TU. Think that helped, and the FA a lot to get bad stuff removed pretty easily, not sure how I ended up in the special handling groups...just received a letter from both CRS late last summer telling me that going forward all my disputs or inquirys would be handled by them. Started the repair process in May 2009 in order to buy a home. In Sept 2009: Closed on my house. Approved for Lowes Card $400.00 Oct 2009 Approved Target 300.00 April 2010 Best Buy MC Reward $500.00 Today Walmart $500.00 Now my plan is to let these 2 new accounts age at least 6 months to 1 year. No more new apps until then. Hoping by them to get a few CLIs. Though I do have one positive account on all my reports that goes back to 1994. It is listed as an installment loan that was paid off last June 2009...never late as I was a co-signer way back then when all was good. I am now thinking this is the route to go...and just let these accounts age or do I need to add anything else?
  8. I know it is not much...but after years of no MC or Visa I just got approved after doing the ID verf. over the phone. It is only a $500 limit and no AF. I was not sure if I should ask for CLI or wait. But dang it felt good. It is my highest limit. A $ 300 Target and $400 Lowes cards I got 5 and 6 months ago. Now I just need to figure out how to break out of the toy limits. But that is an issue for another day.

    Oh and I misquoted my ficos..my TU was in the mid to upper 600's a couple of months ago, while my EQ was 701. Both of these scores were with a new mortgage and 2 new credit cards that were 2 and 3 months old.

    Two state tax liens, which truly were not mine...was a true case of ID theft as the state department of revenue figured out since the the guy using my SSN was 58 years old and I am not even close to that age. However all they did was release the tax liens...I had to fight with the CRAs for actual removal. Only way for me to get the liens removed was to go to court halfway across the country or fight with the CRA. I disputed as fraud and ID theft. Took several times with TU. EQ removed them pretty easy.

This is where I started on 4/17/2009 TU EX EQ Total Accts 15 15 11 Open Acct 11 1 4 Closed Accts 4 14 7 Delinquent 0 0 0 Derogatory 14 13 9 Public Records 2 2 2 Positive accts 2 2 2 (both closed old accounts) My true Fico on 4-17-09 from a mort lender EX 592 EQ 552 TU 534 Here is where I am today as of 04/07/2010 TU EX EQ Total Accts 5 11 4 Open Acct 4 ? 4 Closed Accts 1 ? 0 Delinquent 0 ? 0 Derogatory 0 6 0 Public Records 0 2 0 Positive accts 5 6 4 I closed on my house on Sept. 3, 2010. I have gotten a Lowes and Target Card. Perfect payment history. I am now coming up on 6 months history for all 3 of these. I stopped watching or working for Experian and opted to freeze Experian and just not look back for now. Both of my TU and EQ reports are perfect. Both include at least one account that was opened in 1994, and paid off never late. So I do get a bump for some age for these 2 closed accounts. One was a credit card and one was a mortgage. Both of these have perfect history. Last I checked my Fico from MyFico my EQ score was in the upper 600's a few months ago. It might be higher now, since when I checked the score all my new accounts were 2 to 3 months old. I have one inq on EQ and 7 on TU. Just wanted to share and say thank y'all again for the help, cheer leading, tips, and all the advice.

  13. It did not hurt mine when I bought a house and changed addresses to the new house. I applied for a Lowe's and Target just a few weeks after closing and used my new address. Now the new accounts and the 2 new hard inq did bring my score down but that is a different issue. At the time I did not have any open credit on my reports other then the new home.
  14. /EDIT Opps Topic should be 718 Well I pulled the pulled the trigger on my EQ Fico today. OMFG is all I can say. My Previous posts about my scores Post one Post two I thought about getting my TU score as well, however I still have one baddie stuck on it that, otherwise my TU and EQ reports would be indentical as 2 different CRA reports can be. I cannot believe in less then a year could get these kind of changes. I am working on b* now on my EQ and TU. It is still hard to see that I have gone from 552 on April 17, 2009 to 718today. All biddies removed from EQ. 1 new Mortgage account open 9/09, Lowes Opened 09/09, and Target opened 10/09. And 2 old closed tradelines one mortgage and one credit card, both good and never late. Both of these closed accounts are giving me a fantastic AAOA. Since they were both opened in 1994 and 1995.
