  1. Fair enough. Thank you! I appreciate hearing it before I go spend hours waiting around at a dealership again. I had one previous auto loan that was only 6 months back in 2000 [fully paid off]. And of course, Student Loans that have been fully rehabbed for about a year and a half. We'll see how things are in another year. My credit scores are also getting hammered by unscrupulous collections people right now.
  2. 1 year old. Opened May 2009.
  3. A mere $12,000. Lots of downpayment. I'm guessing I need to hold onto it for at least another year.
  4. Using the advice and reading tons of posts around here last year (but never posting), I successfully got an auto loan after a few years of credit rebuilding. However! They weren't able to approve me for the car I wanted, and I took something else instead. It's fine, I like this one, but I'm still coveting the one with more utility. So this app is positing either a refinance or a trade-in for the other car. Thank you for your time! Credit Application: Your Age? 30 Your Equifax Credit Score? 595 Your Experian Credit Score? 5. If it's anything like mine (HSBC Platinum Mastercard), the online CLI always always always says to call customer service. "In order to process your request, please contact us to speak to a Customer Care representative." I think the URL for it speaks a volume: https://www.hsbccreditcard.com/ecare/blocke...rand=HS_110_256 I have yet to call them. My limit is a paltry $300, but it's only been open since July 31st, and unless I'm wrong, they probably will pull Experian to check on the CLI, and that score is still 599. [Yet if only they'd pull EQ...]
  6. It took about $15-$30 a month off of my payment, as well. Very nice.
  7. Looks like I made it there faster than you did. I'm now consolidated with DirectLoans, after rehabbing with EdFund/California, which placed it with StudentAidFoundation inbetween the rehab and DL's certification and taking of the loan. Final results looked like this: Original Citibank loans aren't cleaned up. Edfund entries are deleted. StudentAidFoundation entries are backdated to the start of hte loan, show a full clean payment history. Shows now as "sold/transferred" with a $0 balance and closed. One tradeline for DirectLoans for the complete, with a start date as of the the date it moved to DirectLoans [that one DOES NOT get backdated]. Overall, it's worth it. Some minor fluxuations with my score throughout all of it.
  8. Looks like it. I was hoping for a 'pending transactions' upgrade. Darn.

  10. I'm dealing with the same thing. CO since about 02-2008, still reporting a balance. Some Patenfreude or something law firm trying to collect on it a few months ago, but the tradeline has never changed. I sent them a DV, no response. I've tried disputing it off, but that's been a no go. [EX reports a $1450 limit, TU a $1500. It's not on EQ]. Date Open is different on both. But I don't have the original paperwork anymore, it's from my "stuff in a drawer and eventually throw away" years. The past due amount is $2304 after all of the fees accruing. Who knows when this will fall off. I've been too afraid to offer a PFD, thinking they'll ask for the full amount. And there's no way I have that much to dump on it. This is my last CO, though. Paid off First Premier; hopefully they'll remove theirs with GW. If I could get rid of this, I could quit leaning on my EQ report.
  11. Except from what I gather, this is the one CU that treats you like you're only your FICO score. At least since about 2007 or 2008 or so. I can't be without a check card;l I can't pay every bill through ACH transactions, and I'm not going to carry around cash for everything. Credit card limits are too low to use them for everything [and they won't give me one, anyway]. Maybe if they pulled EQ instead of EX....
