  1. Got a CLI bump from $300 to $500 & I didn't even ask for it. Anyone else have this happen from Orchard?
  2. ID for cash transactions isn't a bad idea, if (and this is a big if) the serial # from each bill & your DL# were recorded in some type of government data tracking system. That way you could link each time that bill was passed. Could prevent money laundering, help tax evasion, prevent fake bills. The govt would be able to monitor us all for our own safety/protection. Good idea George!!
  3. How do I know the customer isn't a minor who's very good at looking older (make-up/wig/skin creams/etc). I must ID the older-looking people also (70-80-90, well I guess 90 year olds generally don't purchase booze, but you never can be too safe I say).
  4. I'm going to be asking for ID from all my credit-paying clients, I'll tell them it's only for age verification--however I will actually be asking for it to compare the signature/name on the card w/the signature/name on the id (even if the person is like 80 years old)! BWAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAAHA none of y'all will be able to report me to VISA or MC as you can't prove I'm violating their policy
  5. Can I pay the OC using a flex spending creditcard (I have some flex spending $ that I need to use before 3/15), and then proceed w/the HIPAA process? I have a debt that was sent to a CA who's reporting on EQ. I haven't started anything regarding the HIPAA process yet, but would that mess it up? I would be trying to pay the OC. thanks!
  6. And I provided it to them. The clerk looked at my picture on my DL to compare, and then compared my signature on the back of my Visa card to the signature on her receipt.
  7. So you admit that their current method of ID verification and fraud prevention (signature comparison) is a huge fail. George--care to address the above? I think they should have a pin # for confirmation, at least it would be a 2nd line defense--just like a debit card transaction.
  8. It really doesn't bother me either way (being forced to show id, or not), it's just people in this forum are so against showing id# that they will be inconvenienced and leave the establishment, and then have to go to another store if someone asks for id. My whole reason for this post is trying to figure out why some people get so upset. Seems like a silly thing to get mad at, and even sillier to actually get mad at the clerk who’s asking for it. Also when I'm asked for an id/signature, I feel like a celebrity!!!
  9. I forgot about this section (George got all worked up I see), until I saw this post on another forum. I thought you all might find then general public's thoughts about this funny: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g4596...gas_Nevada.html
  10. I just noticed this section, and trying to figure out everyones motivation to try and enfore CC policies in a retail store. Why do you care if they ask for ID? Is it really worth the stress of arguing & fighting the store clerk who asks it, especially when they are likely following their own story policies/manager's direction (and likely don't even understand the policy & why you're upset)? It seems easier to report the problem (if you really think it is) to either the corporate office or store manager, instead of fighting with the clerk.
  11. This any better than the regular Orchard Bank, or no?
  12. Thanks AA! Now if I purchase something @ Jared, will it get reported on my CR to all 3, or do I need to purchase something @ all 3 in order to get all 3 lines reporting?
