Follow these instructions: http://www.whychat.5u.com/GUIDEBOOK.html Come back to this post when you have the results of the initial dispute. Your OC ( Sanger Clinic) was likely NOT the one who "turned over" the account to Paragon. They are a "garbage" CA who likely picked the information up from a data miner.

I had three collections turned over to Paragon Revenue Group by my cardioligst group, The Sanger Clinic, while I was in the middle of a chapter thirteen bankruptcy. When Paragon called me about the debt around January 2011, I told them that I was in bankruptcy and at the time they told me that this was not their problem and medical bills incurred during bankruptcy are fair game for collection attempt. I paid the Sanger Clinic shortly after this conversation with The Paragon people and put the matter behind me. This week I pulled my credit report and found the three collections were listed. I called them and asked them to remove these listings as I never paid them and the bill was paid directly to the Sanger clinic. They said no, that it was a legitimate collection and they were going to leave it until the time expired. My question is ..are they allowed to file collections on my credit report while i am in bankruptcy? Do i have recourse?

My uncle uses my cousin's SSN & messed up her credit!

Call the police. This is a felony. When it comes down to a lifetime of paying three to ten times what good credit pays, the gloves must come off. -
so I'm looking at my Equifax credit file and see that Wells Fargo Financial has the same charge off listed twice with the same account number. I fired a letter off to Equifax explaining the double entry and included a copy of the double entry. I got my response back today saying that the status of both trade lines has been updated. Nothing was removed or changed that I could see. What the heck??? Do I write Equifax back or write to Wells Fargo. Heck....what do I tell them? How can I get their attention and hopefully a deletion?

I'm not sure about the apples and oranges of the discussion, but when you help Jr. get a better grade by doing the work for him, this is just as much cheating as giving him the answers to help him get a better grade. Either way, he is getting a better grade by having someone else do the work that is required. As much as we would like to help our children, there comes a time when they have to do it themselves and let the chips fall as they may. I love the "make them validate" argument. It should work just fine in this situation. That was not the gist of the post, the gist is that cheating is cheating and we never consider calling the school and reporting the infractions.

With all of the discussion as to who should have reported as opposed to those who could have reported, I can't help but wonder, how many school projects did mom and dad help junior with? That science project in the sixth grade that he was supposed to do all by himself, you know, all the planets circling the sun, and mom just had to help put the little styrofoam balls on the straightened coat hangers that dad had to straighten then form into perfect circles? How about the derby cars that went so fast down the track? Did you report the neighbor who you saw cutting the pieces out on his band saw in the garage? Did you call the school and report your sister for helping to build that perfect egg container so the egg would not break when dropped from the roof of the school? Lying, cheating and stealing is still as wrong as it has ever been, however when other people are involved, it is easy to do the right thing. But how many parents can honestly say that they never helped get their children a leg up, or reported a friend or relative that they knew helped their children to get a better grade. And here we are condemning high school kids for no reporting their friends.

It's done. Letters to the AGs have been sent. Now we wait some more.
-
Is there any way to report the offenders without giving my life history? I just want to report the infraction with a pic of the note without going into detail of who I am, my address, my e-mail. etc. etc. etc.

And people wonder why no doc loans are so popular.
-
Gone gone gone.....I have been thinking of banking with Fifth Third so we will see what they have to offer me.
-
The clock is still ticking...no response yet. Really looking forward to June 15th. This is my send a letter to the AGs day.
-
I am sad to report that there are many more cra personnel that would rather jack with your credit than do the right thing and just fix it. They seem to take a special pleasure in screwing with the consumer. I sure wish that there was an easy way to find recourse for their actions.

After disputing a trade line from Zenith Acquisition with the big three cras, And then following up with letters to them, there has been no response from Zenith Acquisitions other than verifying the trade line as mine to the cras. I fired off a letter today enclosing copies of the green cards, copies of the letters that I originally sent to them, and also copies of the letters that I am ready to send to my state AG and their state AG. It also included a new letter from me stating that they were in violation and if I get no response from them in 15 days, the letters will be mailed to the respective AGs. Lets see if that motivates them. I sure hope this works.
