  1. Great news! I need to get a Capital One Mastercard. For some reason, every single one of my credit cards is Visa and when I'm travelling overseas this has been a problem. Especially in Canada. I've been rejected a few times for only having Visa there. It's a Mastercard nation!
  2. IMO-No. Yeah I tend to agree, but it's killing me because I can get the util, down to about 10% by the end of next month, but it will of course be too late! I'd go for it myself. Maybe they'll give you a low line that you can increase. They seem quite generous.
  3. Bump - One day left people!
  4. Wowee! They only gave me five!! (But I was ecstatic with this, double my nearest card!)
  5. I have a similar situation. I applied for a CLI in October, which showed as an INQ -good. Then I've had mysterious INQs in December and January. Can't I dispute them?
  6. New Millenium Bank but.. lots of fees! $100-$200 or so?
  7. Schwab still have their old "Worldpoints" cards going, and you can't apply for them either. Hopefully that's what they do in this case..
  8. I was at a Charles Schwab branch yesterday and the guy told me the Schwab Invest First Signature Visa will stop taking applications after March. They won't be cancelling the cards, just not giving out any new ones. You have to get in the door this week. They also told me online applications aren't being accepted. They must be by phone for the rest of the week.
  9. Back on topic: Everyone will disagree with me, but here goes.. Only eat microwave meals I have dinner for $1 a night. Go to Walmart and load up your cart with "Banquet" etc. Some are even less than $1. And apart from cutlery, there's no dishwashing! Cooking fresh food and vegetables for yourself is overrated. Gotta buy all the ingredients and spend all the time cooking. I don't have a study to back me up, but I think microwave meals are cheaper than cooking. Yes, I'm a single guy :-)

  11. I like CapOne. They gave me a card when others wouldn't, plus they are the best travel card - no FX Fees. OP: What card of theirs did you apply for ?
  12. You have any idea how expensive that is with the fees? Have you actually done one of these transactions? JFCU doesn't charge any fees on a cash advance.
  13. New Millenium, but it has $150 of starting fees. They don't do any INQ, they just give you the card.
  14. I would use a pre-paid card or a gift card for such sites, or for your uh Vitamin-V purchases.
