Hello Credit Boards, I got to say it's been a while since I've been on here. I credit this board with helping me so much when I had no idea what to do or where to go. I'm back for my mom this time. She received a letter in the mail that said her "recent request for credit was denied" from Beall's Outlet. She has never applied for Beall's Outlet. Naturally I checked her credit report and everything checks out and I do see the inquiry dated 8/8/2020. She received the letter this week and was denied on 10/10/2020. What should be the next steps to protect her? Should we freeze her credit? Nothing to report since nothing was approved but it's obvious someone has enough of her info to try right? Help please.

Lost Wallet Equals Length Of Credit History Problem?
Andeyhollawho replied to Andeyhollawho's topic in Credit Forum
I'm viewing them at all three credit report sites. I start a dispute and I look through them from time to time just to be sure everything is correct. When I checked them in March it showed all of my cards closed due to fraud and the new accounts open. When I check them again recently they are still showing as new cards opened in 2012??? Alliant gives you a free fako score and a breakdown of affecting factors. Walmart gives you a TU score and affecting factors. Both have credit history age number one with a bullet. -
Recently I had my wallet lost at a gas station (fell out of my car or pocket not sure which one). I got a fraud alert from my BOA cc saying that there was suspect usage at the gas station across the street from where I had just used the card. So I had all of my cards closed due to fraud and reissued new ones. That was around January and now I'm looking at my credit reports and none of my previous credit history is showing on the new cards? Is this correct? Can I have this changed? Because I keep seeing on my Alliant and Walmart credit scores that the major factor is length of credit history. I've had credit cards since around 2008 when I started credit repair.

All Collections Cleared And Stuck At 714!!! Help Please
Andeyhollawho replied to Andeyhollawho's topic in Credit Forum
I'm not sure on this one but I've been trying to do that and my cards are still reporting with a balance. So I paid off everything and didn't use my cards at all for about a month and my score dropped to a 708??? I'm wondering if I should maybe try to get another card to raise my overall balance? Or if I should ask for credit line increases? I've really been wanting to get a cash back card anyway. I've been thinking of trying my luck (again) with PenFed or the Chase Freedom. Or will that not help? -
All Collections Cleared And Stuck At 714!!! Help Please
Andeyhollawho posted a topic in Credit Forum
First of all let me say thank you to everyone on this board especially Wychat because in the last year or so I have moved my credit score from the mid 500's to the low 700's!!! I have cleared every collection and deragatory mark off of my credit report. My problem now is I don't really know what to do next. I have a system right now of paying off all of my cc's every month to try and keep my utilization down but it seems no matter what I do I can't get my score to stay about 714. I have a Walmart card so I'm using the Transunion score they provide. I also am with Alliant and while there score is different it says the same thing in the what's wrong description. 1. You have not established a long revolving credit history. - Can't do much about that right? 2. You've made heavy use of your available revolving credit. Your FICO ® Score evaluates your total revolving credit balances in relation to your total credit limits on those accounts. In your case, this ratio of balances to credit limits is too high. I have the following: Walmart 2500 Alliant 2000 BOA 1500 TJX 700 And I just opened a Rooms To Go account that's 10,000 I'm thinking the Rooms To Go which has a 2000 balance right now is what's doing it. Help please. -
Do you have the address where you received the services?? Get a refund from the Bank on your cashiers check. Send it CMRR --to the address they have listed ATT: HIPAA Compliance Office It doesn't make any difference THIS TIME if they cash it or not as long as you have proof for your bank that a MONEY ORDER to the OC was sent. The rapid rescore will cost you another few $$100 in closing costs but will be worth it. The original bill has a "make checks payable to" address but it's a po box. How many days should I wait before asking for the rapid rescore? After I see both letters have been received?

Ok one last question. I had found an address online and sent the first cashier's check and letter in 2009 to them and of course they didn't cash it. Should I send it here again? Or should I call them and ask them for the address to their HIPAA Compliance Office? http://www.emerginet.com/contact-us.html 235 Peachtree Street, N.E. North Tower, Suite 2100 Atlanta, GA 30303 Oh and how many days should I wait before asking for the rapid rescore? After I see both letters have been received?

Yes I opted out and yes that is the letter I sent to EQ. The cashier's check was sent 6/2010 and I just verified with BOA that it has not been cashed. I have not sent the DV to the CA and the dispute yet. I was going to AFTER I got into the home since I found the home first and figured this wouldn't hurt me. It did. I already sent a copy of the cashiers check to the CA and the OC by fax and called them on the phone. That's why I am at this point trying to pay them and get this done in maybe a week so I can close this deal. Is this still possible? Edit... The rapid rescore would still show the collection open. They will do it but only when I can show it's been closed or delete by EQ.

In a nutshell... I am buying a home and the initial loan I had was for much lower with no homeowners insurance. I have ONE medical collection between all three reports and since it is reporting as open so I can't get that loan. I sent the initial letter to the CRA's asking for verification. Step one in the process and Transunion and Experian deleted. Equifax verified on 9/1/2011. I had sent a cashier's check to the OC in June of 2010 CMRR before I really understood the process. In a panic yesterday I called the OC and sent them the copy of the cashier's check and CMRR and they stated the didn't recieve it or cash it. In more of a panic I called the collection agency and tried the same and they basically took the info and said they will verify it with the OC. I'm screwed I know but what can I do? I owe it and it's only 100 dollars and is only on here because of a dispute between me and the insurance company over this payment. This one damn thing is going to cost me 20g on this loan and the bank don't really give a damn. They said if I can't get it cleared from Equifax they can't accept it. I can pay it to the collection agency with the letter but I don't have time to mail it and not even sure if it's going to work now or not. Help PLEASE!!! I think Whychat will be along shortly but its my understanding that you DO NOT want to click on the link... If you click on the link you can see the results, however you must be VERY CAREFUL because they sneak in an automatic "opt in" in their system. I suggest you wait for the paper copy rather than verifying your e-mail address to them. Ok thank you. I'll wait it out a few more weeks. It's funny I live in Atlanta and the CRA in PA answered before Equifax who is also in Atlanta!

Ok I sent in my initial dispute letter to the CRA's. Step one in the process. Sent it with the exact wording font and everything. I got a letter back from Transunion...deleted! Now I sent the same letter to Equifax and since I have disputed other stuff with them they have my info on file. This includes my email address where I had disputed online before. I sent the letter and they sent me an email stating I can see my results and follow progress online. My understanding is we want them to do this by hand and not online so should I click the link and follow online or just wait for the letter to come back in the mail???

First Medical Dispute Ever!!!
Andeyhollawho replied to Andeyhollawho's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
One last minor question. The address I got on this company to remit payments to is a PO Box. That never really mattered with the CRA's but I'm wondering if I should call the OC and ask for a better address or should I just go with this one and add the HIPAA Compliance Office tag to the top? -

First Medical Dispute Ever!!!
Andeyhollawho replied to Andeyhollawho's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
Ok one of the letters I got did say that Cigna paid $145 or something like that but they wouldn't give me the account number or give me a detailed bill. So I guess I am insert A. The thing is that the CA is NOT reporting it to any CRA yet. So that's what's confusing me on Wychat's process. It starts with disputing the CRA but I don't have a reason to yet you know...
