Yes. Welcome to hell.
-
Yes, I have baddies. On TU I have two CAs, one is 6 years old and one is 5 years old.
-
I don't know who they pulled yet because I applied after I did my daily FAKO check. HSBC pulled EX. My EX FICO is about 690. My TU FICO is about 670.
-
I just applied for a Starwood AmEX. (I already have a Delta Skypoints) APPROVED FOR 5K. I am jumping up and down. WHOOOHOOO. HIGHEST. LIMT. EVER. A week ago, for no good reason, I tried out the HSBC card selector and applied for one of their purple suggestions. I got approved for one their "rewards cards" and big fat whopping $600. (My FNBMarin card has a higher freaking limit.) ANYWAY, back to celebrating. WHOOHOO!!!!!

If the date of last activity is indeed over 8 years ago, they can not report to the CRAs. Send them a lemonade of letter unless you want to earn some pocket cash, in which case you should sit back an collect evidence and take them to court.

I did this yesterday and applied (sucka!) they pulled a hard on EX. SONOFA...... can't *B* it off. Good news is it is my highest Fico ~690. I got the message, go figure.
-
Hmmm are their suggestions guaranteed or will I apply and have them reject me?
-
Anyone have a link to HSBC's selector?

I'd call or write your Senator or Rep. too, and let them know. If they get enough calls, something might get done. Bonus points if your Rep is on the House Financial Services committee. -
A$$et and 1099-C forms - They are relying on a tax

Linx this is terrific. EVERYBODY should read this. I like this part: "When a debt buyer purchases a porfolio of defaulted Consumer loans, the Deby Buyer generally recieves from the originating lender only the account balance with respect to each charge off taken by the lender. In other words, the debt buyer often does not know the component amounts of stated principal, unpaid accrued interest, late fees, and other charges that comprise the total amount due from the consumer borrower" page 8 There is all kinds of delicious evidence in this document. -
Well you know what I mean: Credit Bureaus, 666, mark of the beast........ Seriously, congrats! I'm right here with ya!

EXCELLENT! Welcome to the 6-6-6 club!

I took them 5 days to pull (TU) which they did yesterday. I called this morning since it showed up on TC this morning. I called this number 1.800.378.8856 I actually was approved for $2500. Sweet. -
Who wants to bet neiman marcus rejects some approvals?

OH MY GOD. I had posted that I had no pull when I applied for this card. I thought HSBC blacklisted me. Today I pull my TC and notice that I have pull on TU from HSBC/NM. (Figures, cause I got some *b* yesterday) I call them. (HELLO: IT TOOK 5 DAYS TO PULL A REPORT?????????) I got the message after I applied. Turns out I WAS APPROVED with a $2500 limit. Sadly $2500 ad NM doesn't go too far. LOL. -
Of course you can. If they can't prove why you owe $xxx.xx then they can not report. The information on your credit report must be accurate. No validation = no accuracy. I would wait and see if they respond to your latest letter. If they send you some garbage again, write them another letter and tell them that since they can not demonstrate that you have an installment/factoring company account with a signed contract and cannot provide you with a balance sheet from the OC showing you owe them the amount they are claiming, they must remove the TL. (Of course they won't) Then you have to go to court. "Your honor, all I am asking for is an accounting of where this alleged $xxx.xx balance came from and a contract showing I have a factoring/installment account since to my knowledge I have never had such an account for such an amount. I am not in the habit of simply paying people who claim I owe them money without any accompanying proof." Now, the way I see it, how is anyone going to argue with that? Everytime you get a bill in the mail (utility, medical, credit card) you have a list of charges. Since this is not the case, and no proof is furnished, the information being reported on your CR's is false and must be removed and you are entitled to sue them under FDCPA for reporting false, damaging information to your reports. Just take it one step at a time. Collect the evidence that you have attempted to reconcile this situation and then get ready to sue them.
