  1. 1. The old card should remain on the report for 10 years assuming an all positive history. 2. I've seen Citi merge a limit about two years ago, but haven't had any personal experience with BofA. Generally, calling BofA can be very risky. I'd wait for somebody else to report a more recent experience before calling them.
  2. That would be nice. HINT HINT VISA/MC
  3. I would have to belong to my local one. Too many financial products with them to say goodbuy.
  4. I am going to join the pact- I won't purchase anything from a business that has a minimum. They will soon find out that they have less business and will go back to no minimum.
  5. Nothing in writing, no deal. After they get their money, they aren't going to want to hear from you when, after a month, they haven't deleted it.
  6. I've used it. It took about two days. Unlike PayPal, ING is a real bank .
  7. My CU still services cards and provides funding for purchases themselves .
  8. "Merchants are also free to offer discounts to people who pay cash instead of using cards, or use debit instead of credit cards." Ehhhhhhhhh.
  9. Well, the minimum is definitely intended to favor the business owner (written by people not familiar with unintended consequences). The maximum I'm not so sure. Maybe to mitigate large chargebacks? One could argue that the maximum cap is to save the consumer from himself I suppose. I think the maximum is only for the Fed and schools.
  10. I urge everybody to call the office of their local representative and senator. They still need to vote on this. Tell them that allowing a business to set a minimum will hurt the business and cause a massive increase in ATM fees collected by banks.
  11. They can modify the terms, the person you spoke with may not have been able to do so. Find an executive contact number, or send a certified letter.
  12. Have you sent a validation letter to the collection agency? The above poster is correct.
