  2. So I have an update on this, well on GW's in general. I've had success recently with both Macy's AND Discover (I also think I'm close to success with BOA). However (like the poster above), Chase is STILL remaining persistent on not budging-it's absolutely ridiculous! I've changed course and while I still stick to the auto-payment failure, I acknowledged a possibler oversight on myself (basically admitting possible fault) and ASKED POLITELY for a goodwill, no dice. In fact, the latest reply from the same Executive Liasion that I keep getting stuck with (Vanessa D), states that unless I send in something new, I will not receive a reply on any further correspondence. I found this to be somewhat rude on both her and Chase's part. I have never, ever been late once on a previously closed account nor on my mortgage that I hold with them. So, should I just wait it out til maybe around the holidays (TG/Xmas), as they may be more in the "holiday spirit" or just keep sending letter after letter to different addresses/execs I can find?

  4. That's what I thought. Should I do this immediately now or wait? Reason I ask is if I change so quickly to that, won't it look possible suspicious? Or no and I should still try..
  5. Hi all, so after sending through PFB and e-mailing (supposedly the CEO & SVP of CS), I got a VM from Vanessa D. (same lady assigned to me from before) and she said unless I could go through the steps again with their "internet team" and see if it errors out, it stays...I know it won't as I tried it and of course, now it works! Do you have any other contacts and/or advice? She left me a follow up VM saying decision is unchanged..not sure why they're being so damn difficult about it. I've read about a lot of successes. Maybe I should admit possible fault, but point out all my loyal years of service/payments (former card never late on and current mortgage), and plead for just this one time? This is insane..I was able to get a GW from Discover once, awhile back without any issue.
  6. Of course...aside from the 2 reported lates (which wasn't intentional-like I said). It has always been and currently is. Also, like I said before (and in the letter to them), I had a previous card [now closed] and currently a mortgage which NEVER been late on. So why would I randomly be late twice on this, yet never those 2-esp my mortgage. Doesn't make any sense. I wrote a followup GW to the SVP of CS..waiting to hear back.

  8. Hello all, need some advice/assistance on goodwill situation with Chase. Basically, they reported me as late Feb 2011 and June 2012. These were both due to ( I believe) errors/issues on their end with signing up or auto-payments. I obviously did this so I wouldn't need to worry about signing on and making manual payments. If you're wondering why I am just getting to the Feb one now that was almost 2 yrs ago, well I had a lot going on at that time and it fell to a back burner. After the first time of trying to set it up and having it screw up (feb '11), I decided to just do manual payments from then on out. Then, I finally decided to give it another shot, and low and behold, AGAIN it failed, and I didn't realize it until the collection notice from Chase arrived in the mail, but by then it as too late-marked as late on CR (again). I know I finished clicking through all the steps and hitting submit (I work in IT, so I am very diligent on making sure I do). I just have to believe it to be an error (technical I suspect) on their end. I had another card with them (now closed) that I was NEVER late on, and currently a mortgage, which also never late on. Long story, short-I wrote them a letter through PFB (that I believe was sent to the CEO) explaining all the above and a lady in Exec Relations got back to me and said their "internet team" looked up my account and couldn't see where I had clicked thru to sign up for it..I wasn't aware they had the ability to actually SEE EVERY CLICK/KEYSTROKE you on on their website, but apparently they can. I still disputed this and swore I had tried to sign-up for it, TWICE. Why would I be late sporadically (2x) on a simple credit card, yet never late once on my previous card or my mortgage? Doesn't make sense. So she said unless I can call their internet team back and have them walk me through the steps and IF it errors out then they'll remote the late's Issue with that is, I know it probably won't error out and they obviously won't remove it. Does anyone have any advice (or maybe even a contact at chase) I can reach out, or something of the sort to get these 2 late's removed? I'm not sure if Jamie Dimon (CEO) actually saw my letter, but I'm willing to write more-just not sure who since this is obviously the highest level person in the company.
