Is this true? I have a JDB calling after sending them a few limited C&D a few years ago "It is inconvenient for you to contact me at any time by phone, please direct all correspondence to me via mail.". I was drafting a letter to the BBB but came across someone stating there is no such thing as a limited C&D. I don't want to send the letter and look like an salamander.

In my state it's still not clear if SOL is 3 or 6 years, so I waited for 6 to be sure. I did some research online and found a local consumer attorney who loves to sue the pants off this particular CA (it's not Hanna or Worldwide). I submitted a claim and will see what he says.

I have a CA that started calling my cell phone recently. I sent them a (not timely) DV with limited C&D (phone calls are inconvenient) a couple years ago. I sent them a few more letters after that, each time mentioning phone calls are inconvenient please contact me by mail. I still have the copies of the letters and green cards. I did not have this cell phone number when they acquired this alleged debt years ago. I answered the first time they called and it was them asking for money for the alleged debt. They called again but I missed that call. They did leave a voicemail saying "This phone call is for Anowl, if this is not Anowl please hang up now. Anowl, this is CA calling about a debt. Please call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX" Would that be a third party violation? I've been away from the boards for quite awhile, so I'm brushing up on everything again. This alleged debt is for about $5000 and went out of SOL recently.

Thanks for the info. No new account, it is the same one. -
I received a phone call today from them on my cell phone. I hung up and was pretty much speechless that they called after not hearing squat from them for years. More so that they violated the limited C&D. Does moving expire a limited C&D? I moved to another state but have the same cell number as I did there. I do still have all my copies of letters to them and the green cards. In each letter I also reminded them to contact me by mail and not phone.

If she loves the convenience of the infant car seat that she can pop in and out of the car, I would recommend the Graco Safeseat. I used mine for all three of my babies. Baby can use it until they turn one since it has a weight limit of 30lbs. ETA: Went googling it and noticed they now call it a SnugRide 32 and it can hold a weight limit of up to 32lbs and 32" tall.

Got settlement offer from CA, should I counter with deletion?

Is it within SOL? -
They aren't required to respond within 30 days. Was this a timely DV?
-
Is this debt out of SOL? Are they reporting on your CR?
-
Do we have to give them a leeway? My DV to the CA was delivered at 8:30 am. They called me at 11am. I have this logged in on my cellphone. ETA: They are also two hours ahead of me.

I spoke with the first CSR at 9am on Thursday. This was the first time I heard from them, so it was initial communication. I didn't get the letter in the mail until today. How could I even prove this? It would just be my word against their word, wouldn't it?

I didn't read business days in the FDCPA it just says "within five days". Does anyone know for sure which it is?
-
Just verifying, but I have a new JDB calling my cell phone. I haven't received a dunning letter yet but yesterday was our first initial communication so I should get one soon. I informed the lady that they were calling my cellphone and according to the TCPA they can't since we have no prior business relations. She said the law ruled that they are allowed to call my cellphone and they will continue to call since this is the only phone number they have for me. I did some research and looks like if I had this number when the OC had it they would be fine, but this number is new, the OC never had it. So, if they call back again, and they will according to her, they will be in violation right? By the way, I have that entire phone conversation recorded.

I thought it was TLDR; they probably will too.

My medical Visa was stolen and used to buy Coach purses

Seriously, several years ago I worked in a store that sold furniture, sporting goods, and computers. There was a meeting where they told us we were no longer allowed to ask for picture ID. I received a phone call from an MP because someone bought a laptop in my checkout lane with a stolen CC. He actually asked me if I remembered who bought it. LOLOLOL. We sold several computers during a shift, no way I can remember each person. Then he tells me "Aren't you supposed to ask for ID?" "No, they told us to stop asking for ID because customers were complaining about it." When we were still asking for IDs with credit card purchases I had this one bisch act insulted and say, "I have a Louis Vuitton bag, why would I try using someone else's CC for a video game purchase!?"
