FWIW---Mine was not at the end of any special deal or anything
-
For those who may want to call CCT the phone number in the email is 888/297-8765 option 1
-
Well I just called and they reduced the price down to $11.47 per month for 24 months (I am currently paying 22.95). I agreed to keep it but only if it stayed @ 11.47 per month
-
Yep I did too. After having them for over 2 years I get the big ole increase-29.95 per month. I am calling today to cancel-they can keep their fake scores. Thanks to Creditboards- I really don't need them now and that $30 a month can go into a savings acct,a vacation fund, pay a credit card bill, or whatever I decide to do with it but certainly not for fake scores and false information.

Will this have any bearing on paid judgements for medical bills or just collection accounts?
-
Things happen , lord knows I have had my share of unable to pay for whatever reason and am not judging by any means Unfortunately, they don't care why you were late, the truth of the matter is that the late payment happened. Please keep in mind that there are other options that can be used to pay like snail mail a money order. I like to keep a small stash of cash for emergencies Hope things work out for you in the end

How long after you rec'd the card did you have to wait until your first cli?
-
FWIW-my opinion I have to disagree ....depending on the OP's current scores, tradelines and such and depending on what he/she is trying to achieve.. I can't say that Credit One is all that bad (I have seen ALOT worse). I have had Credit One for over 2 years-no problems, no questions along with a small occassional CLI (unasked for). Do they have you pay the annual fee every month...yes, but many other companies charge an annual fee as well Do you start out with a lower credit limit...yes ( I started out with $200 now am at $425) Do they have a higher interest rate....yes They no longer charge for paying using their website (unless expedited, I did find that annoying but used my banks bill pay)

This is going to sound like a dumb question but I want to be prepared The GFE has the total amount but does not list any seller credits, earnest money already paid , and prorations back to me -this shows total estimated Settlement Charges=$6188.82 The "How your numbers work" shows all the amounts as listed above-total due at closing is $2478.97 So will my check need to be $6188.82 and I will receive money back at closing.... or ....... will the amount of the check be the $2478.97? I just thought of this and want to be prepared for the big day -Wednesday. They haven't asked for any additional documentation for me to bring to closing, is there anything that is normally asked for at closing ? They have my updated bank statements from March already. Thanks for letting me run these things by you guys to make sure that my closing goes as smooth as it can!

Purchase price-$145,000 Adjusted origination fee-1399.25 3rd party costs lines 3-8 5027.09 Prepaids/Escrow- 1008.83 = 152435.17 Loan amount- $142,373 Earnest Money Down -$500 Prorations Reimbursed to Buyer $2083.20 Seller Credit $ 5000.00 Estimated cash needed at closing $2478.97 (not sure if this includes the 1 year of home insurance that I need to pay upfront) FHA with 3.5% down Interest rate 5.25 So if I understand correctly and if these figures are correct- I will need to take a check for $2478.97 and the home is mine

Ok, the closing date has been set for next Wednesday ( all agreed to move it up from 04/07). I rec'd a new set of "How your numbers work" today-right now it shows I need to take $2500. Is there any other fees that can be tacked on to the amount I need to bring to closing? Is there a percentage that I should estimate? There aren't any property assessments or things like that that will be paid. Sorry am very excited and nervous at the same time and don't want to miss anything. Thanks everyone for your help

I was told today that we have rec'd final approval, closing date is beng pushed up from April 7th to March 31st-(10 day rate lock is cheaper than a 30 day rate lock ? ). Is there anything that I should be looking out for with this push to the new date? What is the next step after final approval? Am getting very excited now

Hi all, I have been "Conditionally Approved" for FHA home loan. I need to provide a letter of explanation to the lender regarding 3 small medical bills that are marked as "in dispute". I thought that they had been paid by insurance and disputed 05/2008 (only Experian has them marked as such). What type of information do I need to include in this letter? They all total approx $180.00-should I go ahead and just pay them, should I include in the letter that I can and will pay these? Any help would be immensly appreciated! Thanks!!
