  1. Just switch them to no annual cards and sock drawer them. I would not close them. They may eventually come around and give you a CLI.
  2. BOFA did that to me, but it was for the best imho. The only problem I have had with Barclay is with the Sallie Mae card where they kept flagging transactionn and I couldn't use the card "declined" until I called and verified it was me that made it. They have stopped that recently though.
  3. My understanding was creditors use specialized credit scores so getting a score from myfico does not mean much these days, other than them getting into your wallet to get some of your hard earned money. Every credit score I have been given by a creditor after being given credit has not been the same as what came from myfico.
  4. How did you pull that off? I can't get anywhere near 8-10K without them wanting to do a hard pull.
  5. I got a letter in the mail today about a class action lawsuit against Experian. It says "If you disputed a public record on your Experian credit report and received a letter in response like the one attached as Exhibit A, you may be eligible for benefits from a class action settlement". Exhibit A is their typical response letter with how they verify. Anyone else get one?
  6. Is it worth the annual fee of $75 for it? Here are the details: Upgrade today and get 6% cash back at U.S. stand-alone supermarkets, 3% cash back on gasoline at U.S. stand-alone gas stations, 3% cash back at select major department stores; and 1% cash back on other purchases. Cash back is received in the form of Reward Dollars that can be redeemed as a statement credit. The first $6,000 of purchases at U.S. stand-alone supermarkets in a calendar year qualifies for 6% cash back; 1% thereafter. Cash back is earned only on eligible purchases. The first $6,000 of purchases at U.S. stand-alone supermarkets in a calendar year qualifies for 6% cash back; 1% thereafter.(1
  7. They did the same with me. I paid double the minimum due and right after I paid them off, they closed my account. as far as i'm concerned.
  8. I have had a 0 balance for a while now and whenever I purchase something, I pay it off in less than a month. I have used the "Request Increase" button over and over and they will not give me an increase no matter what I request without getting a message that they need to pull my report (hard pull) and I always cancel. I am at 7500 and I would think they would be willing to give me an increase to 9500-10k without requiring a hard pull. This is the message that I get: "We will need to do additional research before processing your requested credit line increase. Processing your request of $7,500 will require us to pull a credit bureau report, which may affect your credit score. When you click "Submit" below we will pull your full credit report and review the requested amount by which we can increase your credit line. This typically takes two business days. If you do not wish to continue with your credit line increase request, click "Cancel"."
  9. I just got 15k!! I was put on hold a couple of times and it took about 5 minutes, but they came back with good news. It seemed like the women on the other end thought I was nuts when I asked for it. When she came back on the phone she sounded very surprised; I wasn't.
  10. Oh so true!
  11. Congrats! Keep doing it every 6 months and you will be up there in no time. I use mine for promos a lot and i'm at 13K right now from requesting a CLI every 6 months.
  12. Did they pull a CR on you? Every time I try the Request Increase online it says they need to pull my CR, even for a 1500 increase. I am at 7500 and I don't think requesting up to 10K should warrant a credit pull.
  13. I have the blue and business platinum (simply cash) cards and they both pulled exp. I needed a EIN when I applied for the business card and they do back date on the business card.
  14. Wait and see on Monday. I would call them sooner than later and at least make sure that they are processing your request for the cash+. When I applied the second time, they told me to call in after I applied and let them know so they would code the app for the right card the second time around.
